I was looking forward to an interesting new restaurant in the neighborhood and was disappointed to find all the tables, except for some bar stools, were upstairs with no elevator. The menu was fairly expensive for lunch and we had trouble finding something appealing. My short ribs sandwich was a little fatty and, influenced by Philly cheesesteaks contained fontina. We looked forward to sharing a dessert but all they had was gelato and sorbet. Service was friendly and they turned down the music when we asked. But I'm still looking for a new neighborhood restaurant.

We were really excited to try out All'onda which has delightful space, super servers and a very appealing menu. But the food somehow didn't live up to our expectations. In particular, the skate was a let down. Instead of skate wings we were in formed that All'onda uses a different part of the fish (not easy with skate). That may be clever or inventive but what you end up getting is quite bony, and ours was also bloody and not particularly appealing. Everything else we tried was pleasant enough but not good enough to get me back in soon. I love northern Italian food so hopefully ours was an isolated experience.

Wonderful addition to the New York restaurant culture . This new addition features wonderful food and wine in a warm inviting atmosphere . The polenta is superb beyond words - the Jerusalem artichokes are equally splendid - the tuna fresh and satisfying - I was looking for a cheese burger my friend suggested All'onda. I'm looking forward to going back and sampling the wines and dishes on the menu. Service was on par with the food . Thank you for a wonderful meal!!!
