Food was delicious.. a little bit pricey
The food was tasty but the portions were small. It was a tad bit pricey for the amount of food but it was worth a try. I enjoyed the meal.

Best Brunch That No One Knows About
We went for a family brunch with 5 people, and were seated at a very roomy corner booth. I was very suprised to see that the restaurant was virtually empty at 1 pm on a Sunday...needless to say the service was great, since the staff could certainly focus on us. The decor has an upscale gothic feel to it-- a little bit of uptown/high-end touches, while staying true to a LES soul. The brunch menu is on the expensive side for the area, but the food stands up to the upscale prices. I'm glad we got the price fixe brunch, that included a cocktail -- the cocktail menu as very unique and interesting. Overall, a perfect restaurant for a nice brunch with the family, that kept the older generations happy for the upscale service and menu, while still "cool" enough to satisfy the 20-something set.

best meal in the city in awhile...
of all the places I've been in the City lately, this is the one that has certainly "wow'ed" me. everything was fantastic. the atmosphere, cool and romantic. the drinks were the perfection you'd expect from death and co cocktails, and the food superb. all the items we ordered were perfectly cooked and quite simply, just really good. the ingredients were all balanced so well. i can't wait to go back.

overpriced mediocracy
Loved the decor and ambience of the place. The Hostess was gracious and moved us to a different table after we experienced a heavy draft coming from the AC. Food however was very disappointing. Scallops were dry and over cooked and so was the bass (not fresh, dry and way overcooked with no flavor). Ribeye was good (as 36$ it better be). I thought it was way too expensive for what it was. I can think of a number of places where i can eat for way less and much better.

wonderful!
Wow, since the new chef has taken over, this place has really been coming into its own. First off, when you walk in, the bar is so charming w/ its dimly lit candles and exposed brick. The dining room itself has a wonderful atmosphere. Then there's the amazing food! The soft-shell crab I had last night was so fresh (I don't know what was up w/ the previous post's "fishy" fish- wtf?). This is fine-dining food that is not pretencious, and you'll be craving it the next day. It is way pricey, but save up, and treat yourself- very worth it.

just ok
Visited A&D recently.. sat at bar wating for table.. bar was quite charming but expensive for this neib. $14 cocktail in a small glass. Ordered fish - it smelled fishy so i sent it back. The risotto was amazing. The dining room is tight with awkward seating. .. Dont think i would return.

Wonderful Fine Dining Experience!
Allen & Delancey was everything we expected it to be. From the moment we tried one of the outrageous cocktails, we knew it'd be a special meal. The hamachi crudo was exquisite as was my veal entree. Dessert was innovative, but satifying! We had a tropical mango panna cotta with curry icecream! It was so good! The atmosphere with the exposed brick was beautiful! It's what you expect fine dining to be
