Don't believe the hype folks
The staff here is extraordinarily discourteous. The food is great for the value, if you can actually get it. 60% of the menu is usually unavailable, as they always seem to run out of food. It shouldn't be called a roti shop if I can't get roti all the time. The server has a very stink attitude and will mess up your order if you can't yell loudly enough over the music playing in the shop. They ring your food up and then plop it down in front of you without a smile, thanks, or even a "come again". The reason I gave service a "0.5" as opposed to plain "0" , is due to the fact that I actually got my food at some point. Your money is better spent at a shop that would appreciate your patronage. Ali's gets by as they're not many other well known Roti shops in the area.

The best west indian food
While livifng in Brooklyn, I would visit Ali's Roti shop for a meal at least twice weekly. The food is absolutely delicious. I have now moved down south. When we return to New York for visits, we order an ample amouth of food to return home with.
