Room for improvement
Food tasted good but everything was a little undercooked (burger, fries and pasta). Definitely has potential but delivery took 40 min longer than they said it would and food arrived cold.

I like to give credit where credit is due, so up front I will say that the duck ragu was pretty good. That being said, I didn't ORDER the duck ragu! I ordered the squash ravioli and they called me to tell me they were out. It was 7:30. How did that happen? the main components of the dish are v. easily accesible. Anyway, I ordered at 7:11pm and my food didn't get here until 9:04. I called them twice to see where it was, 20 minutes apart, and each time they told me it would be there "any minute". 2 hours for delivery was insulting enough, but when I opened up the food I felt like they were laughing in my face. The portions are way too small for how much you pay. I figured if they were charging $14 a plate for pasta I would be able to at least throw in the rest of my side and have a small lunch for the next day, instead I'm contemplating making mac and cheese to at least be full. Food also arrived cold, not lukewarm, cold. Total bummer.

Wonderful new place
I stumbled across this place on my way home and was astounded to see Truffle Fries on the menu. In East WIlliamsburg, no less. Needless to say, I had to stop in to sniff around. The decor was low key and accessible but nice enough to bring a casual date. The menu featured a lovely range dishes, and even featured vegetarian squash-ravioli with cream sauce as well as a number of creative, but accessible desserts: such as a basil-limoncello creme brulee which i'm sad I didn't order that night. I ordered a Pappardelle pasta with slow braised duck ragout to go - when I got home, I saw they'd actually *plated* my order with a dried tomato-skin rose petal.. needless to say I was charmed. The pasta was a little al-dente but the duck was fork-tender and delicious. I'm very excited to see such a lovely neighborhood spot open in this neck of the woods. Really looking forward to trying it again. Keep in mind: no alcohol yet, and it's cash only: but after 2 visits, the owner was nice enough to offer to let us pay the day after despite the fact that there was an ATM next door.
