Lovely brunch spot on the UES. Delicious tea, extensive menu choices, relaxing atmosphere, and the chocolate cake with buttercream is divine. Waits can be a bit long, though.

I had brunch here w/ a male friend this afternoon. I mention that he's male b/c this is definitely a female-oriented place. The decor centres around Alice in Wonderland and fairy-like adornments, which I loved. There are fairy wings hanging along the walls and ceilings, and if you'd like, you can wear a pair as you dine. Beyond the thematic appeal, I found the food very good as well. The pumpkin scone was delicious, but it's sweet so you may want to save it for dessert. I had the veggie egg-white omlet, which was exactly what you'd expect, but it came w/ a side of asparagus and glazed poached pears. I liked each, but not together. They should have separated the pears from the asparagus b/c they definitely didn't go well together. We each ordered a drink which took forever to come. Maybe our waitress forgot - not sure - but in any case I wouldn't recommend what I had. It was called The Man's Drink (bourbon and lapsang tea) and again, not a good combination. For dessert we split the S'mores which was outrageous! I'm not a chocolate person but I found the mousse light and tasty. In place of graham crackers were homemade gingerbread cookies which nicely absorbed and complimented the richness of the mousse. So, the moral of the story is that this is a wonderful experience, but if something on the menu makes you raise your eyebrows, chances are it's worth passing over.

Food and value were fine. Atmosphere was poor, service was poor.

I planned a friend's baby shower here last week, reservations and all, however when I got there, I was erased from the system. This was my first time here., so I had no idea how crowded it can be for a wait and it turns out people lie, however once they realized I was not a liar, the service and the regret was amazing. They were so sorry and treated us royally. On to the food, it was yum! Do try the home fries!

Adorable atmosphere - the place is perfectly decorated. I was a big fan of Alice's the first few times I went, but I have been very unhappy the last several times I visited. The service became worse and worse each time. This last visit, my boyfriend and I waited 25 min just to order! The place wasn't even crowded, as we had gotten there early. We asked to start with a pot of coffee and a scone to share, and then we both ordered brunch entrees. 35 minutes later, the coffee, scone, and our brunch orders all came at the same time. The crepes were not good - worst batter I have ever tasted. I'm still a huge fan of the scones, but I will be stopping in to get them to-go from now on.

I love this place. Their pumpkin scone is a must have. It is the best pimpkin scone I have ever had. Their tea selection is amazing and you get a lot of tea for your money. The service has always been great, they are extremeyl friendly and make you feel very comfortable and at home. The portions are a little small if you came with an appetite. The food is very healthy and tasty. It is a great place to meet with your girlfriends for a Sunday brunch, or to bring young girls, very cute atmosphere
