The duck confit. The Dark and Stormy cocktail. Actually the entire menu. Practically speechless, it so good I've been there a million times and it just gets better. Take my word for it. Oh, and the service is great.

Food is excellent, decor is whimsical and interesting. the tacos I had (shrimp, duck) were such thoughtful combinations - who'd think duck and lentils together, but proved awesome! but the service is pretty subpar unfortunately. the staff is nice enough but oddly absent-minded and the kitchen just so s-l-o-w. I wasn't even in a hurry and still became increasingly annoyed. Is this ennui, just to be expected from the LES? hope not! fix this, and the place would be a definite regular repeat.

Tried Alias on a Sunday night with four other friends, so we got the $25 pre fixe. The food was outstanding, and a great value for the price. All of the produce tasted so fresh, and it is seasoned well, so that the natural flavors really stand out. The choice of dishes was great, even for vegetarians (I am veg, as is one of my friends). Our waiter was attentive but not overbearing and friendly but not trying too hard. The place has a nice, unpretentious vibe, with simple and colorful decor. Everyone enjoyed themselves, and I left feeling like I had gotten far more than $25 worth of food, plus a great experience to go along with it. This place is HIGHLY recommended -- I think it is difficult to beat the quality of food in this price range.

Delicious food. I have had brunch there many times - can't stay away! - and, I finally tried their dinner. So great! This is a fantastic, solid restaurant with a neighborhood feel. Not pretentious like other downtown spots often are. The atmosphere, food, and service makes Alias a very nice place.

Alias is a great place to grab lunch when the wait for Clinton St. Bakery is way too long. There were plenty of options and everything we had was really good, especially the cheese grits!

If you are looking for a GREAT restaurant on the LES – head to Alias! It was GREAT! My boyfriend and I went this past Saturday for dinner. It is the perfect place for dates and small groups (like 4 people). The food was AMAZING! We had the duck appetizer, and then I had sea scallops and he had chicken as mains. We got the mac & cheese side and that was very good too! The sangria was just ok - so skip that. I am looking forward to heading back there to try another dish! Service was friendly and fast enough. The restaurant was full and the volume never got too loud meaning it is a place you can talk at. I highly recommend this place! YUM!
