Great Food
Food was amazing. We were party of six and were seated inside, so there was no disturbance. To start with they served bread and appetizer. Overall everyone was happy with the food and service. I would surely go there again.

Great food!!
I went here for my birthday with my family and everything was great! My brother is vegan and my father is picky but there was something on the menu for everyone. And the food was excellent. We all left completely full and satisfied. The only issue I had was with our waiter. He was usually no where to be found, but the other waiters were more than happy to take care of us. All in all it was a great experience and I will be going back!

great turkish food
The food at this restaurant was great. Both the lamb and chicken adanas are really good (I liked lamb better). The restaurant is a bit small in the front end which you'll probably get seated if you're a party of two. People walk behind you constantly which makes it annoying because sometimes they bump you. The service was nothing spectacular: the waiter only stopped by once during the entire meal to refill water. But the food was just so good!

Great place.
The service was good. The waiters were attentive. Everything was good, except for the table across that was noisy. Will definitely go back again.

DO NOT BOTHER
I have eaten here quite a few times, and while I really enjoy their food, the service keeps getting worse and worse. Most recently, we walked out after waiting 45 minutes for our dinners that never came! Finally, we asked where our food was, and the waiter told us there was an error in the kitchen. He said it would be two or three more minutes. Ten minutes later he still hadn't returned, and all other tables after us had been served.

Ali Baba Terrace-Never Again!
Being very familiar with Turkish cuisine and craving the real deal, husband and I decided to try Ali Baba's Terrace out, as we had been to the Theatre that day as a small celebration of our anniversary. First of all, there were only 3 tables occupied but several waiters standing around. It took almost forever to get someone to come over and get a drink order, and then he disappeared and another (different) waiter came over and took our drink order. The first waiter finally reappeared and had our beverages all wrong..I ordered UNsweetened iced tea and got sweet tea, husband ordered diet coke no ice and got coke with lots of ice. Once our drinks were fixed, I asked for some sweet and low. Ten mins went by and I finally went up to the bartender and got some myself. The waiter brought me sweet and low when he brought out our appetizers! We ordered one entree in addition to the 2 appys, and that appeared about 5 mins after getting our appys. We had to ask for fresh bread, as they only give one piece at a time....bread is a BIG part of the Turkish meal. We felt rushed, unimportant, and that the food was subpar. I'd rather eat kebab from a street vendor. As a matter in fact, we were sorry we didn't do that!

Ali Baba Terrace - dont go there!
I have been going to Ali Baba on 34th street for years and decided to try Ali Baba Terrace - It is listed as another location of there's on Ali Baba's web site. Ali Baba terrace was a joke. Decent decor - but they definately need to get their act together. First sign of a badly run restaurant is when you have too many staff - vaguely hanging around, but no body doing anything - so if you need water - you have to get someones's attention. Then we ordered a couple of appetizers - told them we were going slow and would decide what else we wanted a little later- since we did not know if we would get a couple of more small plates or order an entree. We asked for bread- My's friend got hard/ not- fresh bread and had to return asking for some fresh bread. Again - not a good sign. Turkish restaurants have the best fresh Turkish bread. The waiter kept coming back to ask what else we wanted almost pressuring us to order. BTW the restaurant was not even 50% occupied. So we ordered. I asked for an Entree and my friend got an appetizer. Told them to go slow - we were in no rush. The food arrived soon after - we were not even half way thru' our appetizers!!. I told them we were not ready yet. 5 minutes later they were back and when I said I was not in a rush - we were not done with the appetizers they were ready to pick up our plates and serve us the next course already!!. I was really mad and the waiter said I had no choice - the food was ready and he had to serve it. Needless to say the food was a bit cold - We decided we would never patronize this place and tell everyone not to go there. There were no apologies - EVER- not at that time , not when we got the bill- NOTHING. Absolutely abnoxious. AND the entire time we were there till the time we left the place was less than 50% occupied.
