Ali Baba Turkish Cuisine

This is my second time eating at this restaurant. There's definitely way more space after their renovation. The food was amazing. The service was average. Not as friendly as the first time I went. I had some lamb on top of eggplant cream sauce. It's nothing like I had before. My husband had the lamb shank, which was also very nicely done. He claims it to be the best lamb shank he's ever had. I enjoyed the Falafel appetizer. The portions are generous, even if the reasturant is a bit on the expensive side. I was very satisfied and highly recommend this place if you like Turkish food.

Great food, amazing selection, friendly and attentive wait staff. All around great place. A teeny bit pricy for somebody living on loans, but worth the money for the quality (and quantity) of food. Complete dinner for two, w/ appetizers, wine, entrees and desert: $75. Entrees only, about $15 each.

Food here is excellent. Almost anything you order will be at least good, if not the best of that dish you've ever had. Service is pretty good. Prices are not dirt cheap but still very reasonable. I will definitely be coming back here again and again.

I love, love, love this place. Especially I love their Mixed Appetizer which has five different appetizers including babagahnush and hummus. Their bread is awesome, too. I always order this Mixed Appetizer, and eat them spread on top of the bread....Mmmm...Yum... Also, all of their Lamb menus are amazing. The place is kinda small, but cozy. Waitstaffs are kindly and willing to explain every single menu for you. Very recommended!

My husband and I always go to Ali Baba's after a movie in this neighborhood. It's probably the only restaurant we return to again and again in NYC. The food isn't a gourmet 5-star experience but it's consistently delicious and fresh. Order an entree or just graze on several appetizers or have a huge meal! Whichever way, you never break the bank eating here.

Bunch of us order from here a lot. We love a few of their dishes in particular like the sheppard salad. Aside from the food though, the rest I find ok.
