I have been to this Ali Baba restaurant many times with relatives and friends. The food is tasty and the service is magnificent-I am not exaggerating. The waiter helped me friend decide on the dishes and his recommendations proved to be delicious. Their lunch special is definitely worth it, and I hope the owner would consider having the lunch special on weekends too. Ali Baba gets my highest recommendation!

I went here with a bunch of my friends on a Friday night. The staff was so friendly and accommodating and the food was so delicious. Beautiful ambiance as well. I will absolutely be back!

I went here with a group of friends - the food, especially the babaganoush was divine and the service was attentive and welcoming. would return in a heartbeat.

Let's get one thing straight. This is not a cheap restaurant. I lived in the neighborhood from 2000 and used to love Ali Baba. Now its mostly small portions, high prices, and unhappy people. Shame. Food is good, but not a several times a week place, but more like a night out.....without the fun.

i live in midtown and this restaurant is my favorite place. i eat there at least 3 times a week. they have very good and reasonable priced lunch special. dinner is worth it also. you can see this restaurant packed most of the time. there must be a good reason to get packed right? yes they are so good!

We live across the street from Ali Baba and eat/ order at least once a week. The food is good and predictable. The service is typically subpar, but we return due to the convenience. Never again though! On this Sunday evening (there were less than 10 people in the restaurant), I had a stroller in one hand and struggled with opening the door due to the strong winter wind. There were 4 bored waiters and one snooty hostess standing at the front, yet no one even bothered to lend assistance. I returned my requisite 15 minutes later for the food pick-up. Again, no assistance at the door and I waited with no acknowledgement, despite there being 5 waiters standing there speaking with each other. I asked to speak with the manager about the poor service, and he essentially laughed in my face. Despite the convenience, I cannot patronize a restaurant that treats its customers with disdane and I urge you to do the same.

There were four of us at dinner and the only thing that didn't exceed our expectation was the Lentil Soup. Everything else was fantastic... the lamb and seafood were awesome! It's a lil pricey but a good place for dates because it gives off good vibes and service is courteous and slow :)
