Best Felafel in New York City
I am writing to say I love this place for its fabulous felafel, among the best I have ever eaten, and I have traveled around. I also want to tell you that the service may not be super speedy, but the service is super good. This is a family run business and they care about what is on your plate. So you may have to wait a little longer than at McDonalds, but not that much longer, and besides, it is worth the extra minute. And that is the point. Every felafel, every salad, ever soup, the baba ganoujh, the hummous, is made with care. You will be glad you stopped here, and you will keep coming back. It is a genie in a bottle, hence the name.

Whatever!
The THREE pieces of meat in the "borrito" are yummy but TOO MUCH RICE!

Best Homous Ever!
I have been going to Alfanoose for years. While there location has changed due to the WTC reconstruction, the food hasn't. It is great tasting... and, incidentally, healthy, too. My favorites are the homous, the falafel sandwich, the soups and the sides. You can't be in a rush here. There are often lines and the owners, ever so attentive to detail and quality, take their time to give product that they can be proud of.

Decent food
Don't try ordering delivery from this place unless it is a corporate order. They have a flexible minimum amount before delivery which ranges from $15-$25 depending on when you call. Their food, while good, is a bit over-priced too. Best look elsewhere for good middle-eastern food.

All rice, no meat.
This place looked very promising. They have a great atmosphere and keep the restaurant very clean. The prices were a bit higher than most middle-eastern restaurants, but not too far out of the range. I could smell trouble when my side dishes were being scooped out. I'm sure you all have seen those three sectioned, white styrofoam take-out containers-- the ones where one large section makes up half the container and the rest is divided into two sections for a side dish. Well, your rice-type side (which was dry and tasted off) goes in the large section. Your hummus related side dish goes in one of the small sections and your MAIN DISH is put in the other tiny section. After paying on the high end of the spectrum for a lamb shawarma plate, I wasn't too thrilled to see that what I actually got was a main dish of bad tasting rice and a small side of lamb shawarma. The fact that the lamb was dry and flavorless just added insult to injury.

The Best, freshest ideal food
Alfanoose is a rare find in nyc, it is consistently fresh, delicious, loaded to the brim with flavor and healthy all wrapped in one delicious sandwich - falafal, shwarma, all unlike any we have EVER tasted and we are native nyers and major foodies!! have been 50 times and will continue going until they retire:)
