Gone Downhill
I use to love Alchemy but it seems as if things have changed in the past 8 months or so. The food has gone so downhill and the service - well, the service has always been pretty bad. I would not recommend this place to anyone - not even if it was the last restaurant on earth and I was starving.

Perfect Bar
Great beer and food, lively cool atmosphere, very friendly staff...and there is a nice outdoor patio in the back for summer boozing!

Great
Fantastic food. Great Service. I highly recommend the macaroni and cheese or fish and chips. Everything was cooked perfectly, and the taste was awesome.

Brooklyn's gem of pub
Sure..you can go there for a brew, but when you step into Alchemy, it's like a pub with class. No pretention going on..just a warm vibe with a great wait-staff. I went there last week for an early evening supper and by the time I left with my boyfriend the place was full. People enjoying a drink with some sophisticated but straightforward dishes. I ended up going with two appetizers; the roasted mushroom salad and the special crab salad. Both were excellent. My boyfriend had the bacon wrapped cod and that was stellar as well. It's a casual place with a bit of a hip but low key slant. I would definitely come back in a heartbeat and find it an amazing place to sit back and enjoy a satisfying meal.

New gastropub strikes gold
I have been waiting for a place like this to open up in Park Slope for so long and much to my delight it finally has. Though they are still waiting on a liquor license, the food and atmosphere are amazing, like being in your local pub, but much nicer and much better food. The roasted mushroom salad is amazing, as is the fried cuttlefish (like calalmari, but less chewey) and the hanger steak could not be more tender, (which is hard sometimes for a hanger steak). And the Guinness toffee pudding is ridiculous! This place has everything to become an instant classic in the neighborhood.
