Almost perfect
Treated this place a few times by a friend. the food was decent and the service fair yet slanted towards a " specific clientele " guys are less obvious than the female staff. observed on all three ocassions that not all guests were extended the " thanks for coming a" as they exited. have to say this was consistent behavior. the owner is cool and probably oblivious to this quirky staff trait. certainly worth checking out. just don't assume it is anything more than a slope spot with very few authentic peeps. Could and should be though. I think.

Fantastic Burger
The burger is probably the best value in the neighborhood - Melt's burger across the street is pretty mediocre taste-wise for the money. Slightly expensive on the rest of the menu, but worth it. Everything I or my party have eaten there has been delicious, and the place is quite nice inside, lot of old wood, feels like a real tavern type spot. Definitely recommended.

What's the problem?
Just ate there tonight. Food was hot, fresh and tasty. Service was quick and attentive. Would recommend. The other reviews are not so recent - give it a chance.

Love this place!
Love the garden out back and the mussel deal on mondays. Also one of the best burgers on 5th ave!

Mac and Cheese
Unlike the other reviewers, I had a great experience here. We had fish and chips and mac and cheese. I consider myself a mac and cheese conoisseur, and it was among the best I have had with rich cheese and yummy little sweet peas. The fish and chips were good, too. It was slightly over-priced for what it was, but I still enjoyed it. We thought the service was excellent and they were very sweet about the fact that we had a baby. I would definitely go again.

Surprisingly Good
Had a late lunch here on Saturday and everything was delicious. I had their soup special which was a vegan split pea and delicious (particularly for a vegan soup) and then the short rib and polenta appetizer which was also good, although i would have preferred less fat on my short ribs. My girlfriend had their burger which might very well be one of the best burgers in the Slope.
