A pizza with fresh mozzarella and tangy sauce which both my girlfriend and I enjoyed. Also the fresh mozzarella and tomato salad was delicious. The mozzarella was soft and creamy. Overall a great pizza restaurant.

Having spent years trying to find that perfect little place, great, reasonably priced food, with a casual atmosphere, I've finally succeeded! This place is just the best. The staff are friendly and professional. The pizza is just amazing - however many times I've had it, it just keeps getting better. We have eaten a number of times in the restaurant, but also ordered from here one evening and it was still as delicious. The only drawback is that it is not the prettiest place ever, could do with a little warming up color wise, but seriously, that's my only complaint! I think I can look past the wall color and enjoy the pizza, pasta and wine they have to offer.... Looking forward to my next vistit already. Put this place on your "must try" list, it will not disappoint.

We discovered AlForno the week it opened-September 10, 2001 :-(. After tasting the pizzas and pastas (echo the rave reviews below), we became AlForno Champions in the neighborhood: I flyered my building with menus, and told anyone who would listen to GO! The first year was a bit stressful for them, due to bad luck on timing of the opening, but I knew a gem when I saw one, and hoped they could persevere through the City's rough time. Sure enough, the food and service spoke for itself, word traveled, and I actually found myself waiting for a table a few weeks ago! I did so with pleasure. There are so many places that are dime-a-dozen on the UES, especially with regards to service. I am still impressed that I recognize waitstaff, kitchen help and even delivery boys that have been with them for years! It is a testament to the owners for sustaining tough times, all the while keeping the focus directly where it should be: on presenting fresh, delicious entrees and pizzas with consistent, warm and welcoming service! Whether it's a child in need of a high chair to squeal in delight over the pizza, or me and my dog enjoying a glass of wine in the outside seating, the staff happily and easily accommodates. If you are searching for a neighborhood outpost, you've found it! PS- the Tiramisu is homemade. It's so tasty I requested that a 'cake' be created out of it for my Birthday. Again, delivered with a smile! Outstanding!

Al Forno has the best tasting Pizza I have ever had! It is so amazing how delicious a pizza can be! Al Forno is #1 for me on my pizza list! They also have some great salads there! They have good pasta and other appetizers! I definitely recommend Al Forno Pizzeria!

This is the best stone baked pizza around the neighborhood. All the ingredients are so fresh and the oven in the back allows for a nice atmosphere in the restaurant. Highly recommended if you are looking for some great reasonably price pizza.

We've been ordering and eating there for years. The best pizza with fresh ingredients. No other pizza place in the area comes close. The penne a la vodka is also extremely good! We love it. My infant son loves it, even my dog loves the crust!
