this is the first review I have ever given online after 22 years of living in NYC and eating out about 5 nights a week. the restaurant was attractive, but once seated all charm was lost. The service was a bit sketchy, but not the worst, the drinks were laughable (small martini with lots of water added) the salads were passable but unremarkable. The pasta was very much like what you would get out of a can; the meatballs tiny and next to no sauce, my friend had the lobster ravioli which he didn't bother to finish. again with the drinks, the wine was about 3/4 of a normal glass. At the end the bill was over $100.00 for a very disappointing meal

We thought the place was inviting -- chic lamps and white tablecloths. But the food was awful. The mussels were not fresh. How the chef didn't smell this as he was plating it was beyond us. The expensive pasta entree was a 50-cent handful of rotelli in a giant plate. The garlic bread was a few slices of bread half-heartedly smeared with oil and garlic. Should have read Menu Pages reviews before being seduced by the decor.

Went there yesterday with my wife and my 2 daughters, I asked him to "please" make sure we won't have any meals with meat, in a tone of disgust he replied, no food here has meat. He brought us some bread that looked as if he collected it from a dump, and he brought the people next table a real good looking and warm bread, I asked him is the bread the same, and he said no the one just came now from the oven, there was not two min between the time he served us and served next table. I was so angry but refused to show it in front of my kids. I will not recommend it.

I only come here for the Linguini Vongole, so I can't comment on the rest...I've tried many, many restaurants in the city for this...even in Little Italy in the Bronx, but this is the best if you love Linguini Vongole (White Clam sauce). Tons of clams, garlic and oil and perfectly made pasta.

My family and I ate here the other night on Thanksgiving Eve, I had the best lasagna I've had in a long time. My sister had the penne with vodka sauce which was excellent also. The service was good, the seating is a little tight. I would go back in a heartbeat. I can't imagine anyone thinking it's expensive. I thought for the city it was very reasonable. Check it out and don't listen to the negative reviews.

wonderful food, the pastas are amazing....don't make up your own order, trust the chef! their own creations are stunning. especially good is the aubergine pasta.

The food could have been made by a 5 year old: tuna out of a can in the salad, pasta sauce that tastes like its straight out of a jar, and so on... The service is awful: took over an hour to get our food while there were only two other tables, we were informed that the kitchen was backed up only after having ordered and served our drinks. the check took 25 minutes to arrive after we asked for it and our waiter blatantly ignored us after our food had finally arrived (clearly he was embarrassed realizing our dissatisfaction). I hope this place closes down soon.
