    Not recommended

There is one woman who always is the server for lunch during the week, she is the most unfreindly awful puss faced waiter i have ever come across. She basically throws the food on the table and doesnt say thank you at all. Its really teh only sushi place around my job so i go here sometimes but not anymore, Also, the sushi is not fresh and the shumai from the bento box is ALWAYS cold.

    Great sushi

Great neighborhood sushi, excellent lunch specials, either take out or eat in, nice atmosphere and very clean.

    good food, good service

I've eaten here for lunch (gotten their lunch specials) and I've yet to experience bad food or bad service. The lunch special is certainly worth while and good and the service is very good, the servers are very attentive and friendly (not rude as other reviewers have mentioned).

    Rudest wait staff in Manhattan?

While the food at Abi Sushi is fantastic, the hostess and waitstaff must be the rudest in Manhattan. Having been a server myself, and frequent NYC diner, I honestly think the staff is the worst I've ever seen. The sushi is good, though, but I don't think I'll dine in ever again.

Not what it used to be

There was a time when I came to Abi and the woman at front was all smiles, prompt and always accurate in getting food to me hot! No more. The last couple of times, a new lady at the front was rude (not telling me the order total or ETA, hanging up on my ear, etc.) I chalked it up to one bad apple. But I really think the restaurant in general is skidding to subpar territory. The final straw is when the same (I think) rude woman hung up in my ear after I inquired about why my Bento box was taking nearly an hour. She whined that "It's already out" and ...*dialtone*. Another 15 minutes later (I work 4 blocks south, mind you). A belligerent man is demanding I come downstairs and pay for the cold, clearly forgotten food. I said I've already eaten and will not pay for that. I'd be happy to call the restaurant to ensure he didn't get into any trouble with his boss. He called THREE MORE TIMES (each time shouting at me) while I had the rude restaurant woman on the other line explaining that I was cancelling my order. I've finally thrown out the menu. I refused to be yelled at when I can be spending my money elsewhere.

    fresh sushi

ive been going to this place for lunch for years. Its a great deal if you get the lunch sushi/sashimi its great. it comes with rice and salad and for dessert you get yummy fresh oranges.. not sure about all other items since that special is the only one i get. Overall its some of the better sushi around this area.

    Could be better

I only order from Ten sushi for lunch so I can't speak to dinner at all. The delivery service is pretty good and quick but the food can be bland (particularly if it's not sushi). Steer clear of the beef nagamaki which has no flavor at all. The safer options are shushi and sashmini which are fresh but could use more pizazz in the flavor department. All in all Sushi Ten isn't the best or worse places in the area. I'll continue to order from them since I think they are one of the better lunch options around the 34th Street area.
