    mad yummy

this sushi is so trustable and so yummy! There is never a stale or bad fishy taste in your mouth! The fish is so fresh! The place is small but cozy and nice quiet place to eat with friends. Sushi entrees are such a great value! The tea is not watered down and nasty like other stores. The decor is beautiful and the waitress are nice and they consistantly serve of water and tea. I love it!

    Would never go back.

First off.. the place is SO small.. you are hovering over people while you are waiting to be seated. It get so LOUD bc the place is so SMALL that you cant hear your own conversation. The sushi is NOTHING to run home about. I didnt even think it was that good. My boyfriend got habatchi.. which looked semi okay. While we were finishing our drinks after dinner.. the waitress asked us to get up so other people could sit down which was extremely rude. BYOB is cool.. but dont bring too many bottles.. they charge your 5 bucks for each bottle you bring in!

BEST sushi place in the area

Akina is incredible.. I order from here at least once a week and they have the freshest salmon I have ever had- I actually crave it. All of their fish is incredibly fresh and delicious but the salmon and salmon toro sashimi are definitely the best. Delivery is always fast and if you go to the restaurant, its BYO and they never rush you out. Fantastic spot.

Favorite sushi spot in the neighborhood! (Stuyvesant town area)

I'm pretty picky when it comes to sushi. I order from here regularly though, and the fish is always fresh (I don't eat sushi on the wkds though, because most places don't receive fresh fish on Sat & Sun). I'm writing this review because in the last month, out of maybe a dozen orders, five of them have had some of the best salmon I've eaten in my life! The kind that literally melts in your mouth. If you've eaten at Tomoe or Nobu, you know what I'm talking about. The restaurant itself is kind of small, so i wouldn't recommend going with more that 4 people. The food is well priced. And they deliver super fast.

Can't wait to eat here again!

Great little hole in the wall, perfect for someone on a budget but looking for a great sushi! The little place stole my heart with the Spice Girls and Avril music! I will definitely be going back in the near future :)

Food here is GREAT and an excellent value. Love it. It's small and cozy inside, but not much of an atmosphere. It is byob however.
