Unique Sushi
Boring setting but really amazing sushi. I have eaten here many times, never disappointed with the Tuna Mille-Feuille!

A Treat for Us!
The most original, innovative and delicious Japanese food we have found in Manhattan. Have not tried the usual Sushi rolls, because the Scallops and Tobiko with whipped coconut cream or the Sashimi Salad with their Jamaican influence is just so fabulous. As for service, we live out of town, go there once a year and the staff always remembers us and gives treats!

Very Disappointing
I don't write many food reviews, but this place was far below standard. I ordered Beef Gyoza, Spicy Tuna Roll, and Spicy Salmon Roll. What I received was Vegetable Gyoza with no sauce, and what looks like a Spicy Mayo roll in place of Spicy Tuna. The only thing remotely edible was the Spicy Salmon. No wasabi, no ginger, no soy. Could not be more disappointed & will not order from here again.

quality/interesting japanese
i've ordered sushi takeout numerous times-always fresh-great rice. interesting appetizer-titanic-a japenese crab salad. great vegetable dumplings. and first time i've run across green tea tiramisu.

Fishy :-(
Ordered delivery - pretty fast; but ended up throwing away most of it. The Spicy Tuna Roll was very fishy. Not fresh. The Avocado Cucumber roll - also fishy. The sushi was pretty warm and mushy - not appetizing. The salad was just a bunch of lettuce, nothing else.

fishy...
Ordered takeout from here and could only stand to take one bite of a spicy tuna handroll because it was so fishy. We also ordered a yellowtail and scallion roll, and a salmon avocado roll. Both were better than the spicy tuna but you could tell that the fish was just not very fresh; we threw away almost half of everything. The renkon appetizer was the only thing I could eat, and I did enjoy it. Overall though, definitely not worth the price and quality was poor.

prix fixe $29.95
This set menu is an excellent choice! Miso Soup Or Green Salad - I like the carrot & ginger dressing on the salad. The salad retains its crispness with sweet dressing. Appetizer - any one item from Appetizer list (hot or cold). I like Chilean Seabass Steak from hot and from cold, definitely Titanic medley (crab meat, seaweed, cucumber, and wasabi tobiko in a avocado shell. It's filling. For main, I like untraditonal Chirashi (bed of sushi rice with shredded eggs, nori, sweet marinated mushroom (yum!!) and topped with Sashimi and salad. Finished with drizzling of sweet dark sauce (Japanese bull dog sauce..?). For dessert, I like green tea Teramisu but need to add extra $3. We often get delivered but it much nicer experience when I dine there. The chef glances you and make your order. I can ask for more...
