This is the best Turkish place in midtown. My husband is a vegetarian and Baby Okra is his favorite entree. I have tried different non-veg dishes all are excellent. Service is friendly and quick.

It was a beautiful friday night out, they had the doors wide open so the nice and soft wind would come in while we had our dinner with couple of friends that we gathered to celebrate my 26th birthday. Even though the place was packed they gave us the best service possible for the moment. The salads were fresh and tasty, the kebabs were grilled at a taste you cant complain. It was our first time and we are sure that it wont be the last. Recomended to all.

Selected based on MenuPages rating, we certainlly agree that this is one of NYC's best authentic Turkish restaurants. The knowledgeable and professional staff made our dining experience extremely pleasant. All appetizers and salads we sampled were excellent and the entrees were outstanding. We tried a Turkish wine that was excellent (all wines are well priced). The Pre [Prix] Fixe menu was a very good value, including a choice of three Turkish dessert puddings -- all of which were just the right touch to end the meals. Tables are reasonably spaced and the noise level was quite low, allowing the four of us to have a lively conversation without disturbing anyone, nor being distracted by others. This is a place that earned return visits.

Yesterday I went to the 5th ave for shopping and I found this nice Turkish place on Little Brasil. The seafood was so delicious I can hardly wait for my next visit to Akdeniz! The atmosphere was charming and all the staff was so fast and kind... uh, and don't forget the bottomless basket of bread! I'm really delighted.. highly recommended for every one!

Was there on an average Wednesday night. I was a bit cautious about Turkish/Mediterranean as the choice. Akdeniz puts all your fears to rest! Each course was more delicious than the last. Everything was fresh and presented with style. A must have is the Zucchini Pancakes!

1 Sultan's Delight (meat + smoked eggplant) and 1 Zucchini Pancake + bread = mmmmm working late still sucks but at least I can get great food well within the amount we can bill to clients.. mmmm.

I and my boyfriend were there yesterday night. It was my first time here. I'm crazy for seafood and have never eaten such a fresh fish like this in New York! The service was professional. We recommend it to everybody and I'll be there again as soon as possible...
