Incredible sushi. One of the best in the city.

I ordered from here for lunch yesterday and everything was superb from the service to the food. First, someone from the restaurant called me to tell me that they did not have tamago and what else would I want. They substituted unagi - which was much more expensive, without charging me a thing. The food arrived quickly and was delicious. I got the unagi sushi and the salmon terriyaki bento box with brown rice. The bento was delicious - with soup, salad, california roll, and of course the Salmon. The salmon was cooked perfectly. But even more impressive was the california roll - the rice was cooked perfectly and just the right consistency. The flavors really popped which is difficult for such a simple, over-used roll.

Have visited many major cities in the world but this is really on of my top favorite japanese restaurants, very relaxed atmosphere/service and really fresh food (especially one of my favorite fishes the tuna).. Also the area 32th / 34th street is good fun to have a drink later on...

Came here with my boyfriend. We waited 45 minutes + for our food at least. Waitress didn't even acknowledge us or come over to apologize, let alone fill our water glasses! Place was noisy and loud with pop music playing. Sorry Justin, don't wanna get my "sexy back" while starving to death.

This is most certainly a hidden gem! The sushi here is consistently excellent! It is always very fresh and comes in good-sized portions. The eel here is very good, as is all of the rest of the sushi. They also have a wonderful dressing for their salads. I usually eat here for lunch at least once a week during the school year when I have time. The service is also very quick. I usually dine around 2:30 or 3pm when there aren't many other people so I can have a quiet lunch with some good 80's music!! Overall, this is my most favorite place to sit down an eat lunch; the food is wonderful with a great and relaxing atmosphere.

I've tried many sushi places in this area. And this is by far the best I've had. I order lunch from there quite often. I went to eat in for dinner for the first time and took my son and his girlfriend . They were in absolute awe. Not kidding.! He is very picky and I tell you, he enjoyed everything. Even the "Rock and Roll". Presentation by sushi chefs was beautiful. We felt very comfortable with the music and service all around. The music was nice, yet not loud. The hostess gets to know the customers by name. She is so nice.

I have been here several times and love the sushi. The service is very fast and the sushi is very fresh. I recommend to try the shrimp tempura roll, very good!
