Local hole-in-the-wall, off-street, known to locals. Great value, good foods, sumptuous quantity, clean but humble atmosphere. No bar, but only Mexican beer, sangria, and killer margaritas.

Got pitcher of strawberry margarita, Monterey combo meal. Was very good. Drinks were strong and I'm not even done yet! Quesadilla was very bland with cheese only. Flauta and chimichanga were good. They used refried beans instead of black beans which I like better. Not very busy on Fri night. Food came fast.

I moved to NYC about 2 yrs ago from TN, where we have endless Mexican/Tex-Mex options. Since I've moved here I have been on a search for Cheese Dip - no one has it- except Ah Chihuahua! Best Cheese Dip I've ever had!! The Chimichangas are delicious & crispy, and I've never had a bad meal here. Definitely a treat for me whenever I can make it up to that part of town. The atmosphere is fine, too - small space but very authentic. You go there for the food! Also, Margaritas are strong, refreshing and very reasonable. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for Authentic Mexican (and it just so happens to be reasonably priced all around). Enjoy!

just finished eating delivery from this place. I must say the food is not good. We ordered nachos, tacos and shrimp fajitas. Im still uncertain which dish was which. The food was soggy and the meat was overcooked. Delivery was quick but thats probably because the food was sitting around for days. The cost for this poor excuse for mexican was $48. For some overcooked chicken & soggy rice?? I read the reviews on this website before I ordered. Whoever gave this place an approval has no idea what good food is.

We live in the UES and have tried quite a few mexican and tex-mex joints in Manhattan. This place is very reasonably priced and the food quality is dependable. They tend to use less spice than most mexican places in the mid-west. Chips are crisp and not stale, while salsa is hotter than usual. Margaritas are fine although not the huge sizes one sees at most other places. Delivery has been solid so far and overall this place is a great middle of the week casual dinner spot. Not recommended for first dates!

Never ate in the restaurant but order lunch delivery 2-3 times per month. Our office is only two blocks crosstown so delivery is consistently fast, orders are accurate and portions are plentiful and tasty. For Mexican food that is genuine, the price is right too.
