One of the best meals I had in NYC
Except for the slow (mostly just to get noticed, water and a drink), yet friendly, service the food at Agave is outstanding and reasonably priced. I had the Blue Corn Chicken enchiladas. It was the most flavorful, abundant meals I have had on my many visits to the city. The Sangria is delicious, but the glass is much to small. The guac app is fabulous, albeit a bit pricey ($9). I was frustrated at first because of what appeared to be just utter disorganization (lots of people, but no service), but the food and pleasant waitress (once we found her - or she found us) made up for it. Most patrons were enjoying the reasonable bruch. All in all, I highly recommend this restaurant - hopefully they will get the kinks out and tighten up their servicing skills.

Excellent spot in the West Village
You'll need reservations on the weekend, and they'll only hold your reservation for 15 minutes (otherwise expect to wait hours). The food is very good here, I'm a vegetarian and got the Cactus Quesadilla (awesome!). Their frozen drinks are great as well.

Amazing Sangria!
Don't miss this restaurant! The food is wonderful, and more importantly the drinks are the best in the city. The bartender has her own sangria recipe that you have to try! You get more for you money in such a fun spot to chill with great music and a welcoming staff!

So Good!
I had one of the best dinners in a VERY long time here! Everything was soooo good. I recommend the duck with sweet potatoes --unbelievable! Service was great too.

Best meal I've had in a while
Great dining experience. Discreet service, amazing menu, beautiful setting. We got the corn meal crusted calamari - soooo good. Chipotle dipping sauce and avocado dipping sauce were divine. Then my friend got the short ribs, really nice, and I got the crab quesadillas. We were both incredibly happy with our decisions. The sangria was fantastic as well. We were so full we couldn't even try to shove down dessert.

Agave is very nice.
We almost passed the place by until we walked by the side and looked in the windows into a lovely underground space... warm and inviting Mexican-style decor. Margaritas are the real deal, lovely appetizer of cheese and chorizio fondue, mains - braised short ribs and duck were fantastic and to finish the vanilla creme brulee was divine. Service was attentive but not in-your-face. All in all a very pleasant experience.

Brunch
Best eggs benedict I have had in NYC so far...and I have had them a lot of places.
