Big Zero
Very bad overall, other than a nice space/decor. Service - rude, unattentive, not concerned. Food was uninspired, blander than Chevy's in a suburban mall in Minnesota. The owner - and Rachel Ray - who pitched it on her show with her mute husband - ought to be ashamed of themselves

Looks better than what it is
I agree with a number of the other reviewers about the quality of the food. While the offerings sound interesting, the food doesn't deliver and is overpriced for the quality. For example, the guac and chips was $12, but there was not a lot of it when it was served and it tasted like flavorless goo. The vegetarian quesadillas also lacked flavor. The sangria wasn't bad. The location is good and there is nice outdoor seating, but I would not return.

What a Disappointment
I was looking forward to finally visitng this place after reading the good reviews. The food and drinks were very average- I've made better guacamole at home! I had the chili shrimp as an entree, which said it came with grapefruit, avocado, and an herb salad- for $26 I received 5 pieces of shrimp, 4 slices of avocado and grapefruit, and no salad to be found. My boyfriend then ordered grappa as an after dinner drink and was brought a shot of port wine! The waiter did not know of the difference between them, but knew enough to charge so much for a shot of port! All in all I will not return.

Yum!
My bf and I ate here for the first time, I was a little skeptical- thinking it would be too gourmet-ish and not very authentic tasting, but it was fantastic. For appetizers we ordered both the Guacamole and the Carnitas of Berkshire both highly recommended. The sauce they use with the meat is amazing not spicy at all. For an entree, the Blue Corn Enchiladas were great. Added bonus- chocolate fondue served with different fruits for dessert- also very good. We were very happy with the service as well. This place is highly recommended and we will definitely go back!

Where's the heat?
Very bland chowder, chile & quesadillas. All claiming to have chilles-Where??? Every dish truelly mediocre and unmemorable. Presentation and taste unremarkable. Worst Sangria I ever sampled. Very disappointing.

High price, no spice
I was pretty excited to try this place out, but overall I was a little disappointed. The guacamole was very bland, and the food was pretty average, nothing that I couldn't have gotten at a much cheaper mexican restaurant. I do have to say the drinks were great, and the atmosphere was nice, although the dining room was SUPER hot.

Excellent everything
Everything about this place was wonderful. The atmosphere was very unique and relaxing. The only problem was having to read the menu by candlelight. The short ribs were the best i have ever had. My gf had the Chilaquiles and they were almost as good. Our waiter was friendly prompt and knew a lot about tequila. We had barely gotten into the complimentary chips before our food arrived. I would highly reccommend Agave for any occasion.
