    craft beer spot

one of my favorite places in the city to get craft beer....they have some unusual stuff, worth the trip.

    exactly what went wrong

ugh. this "fahncy" wine bar is exactly what has gone wrong with this, my longtime neighborhood. replace an adorable coffee/web hangout with a wine bar only open at night, catering to a totally out of sync with the hood clientele. food is hasty and boring, wine selection i guess is ok but the place is exactly what went wrong with the fancying up of the east village. boo.

    Great little gem!

I checked this place out because I love Grape and Grain - and expected it simply to be a smaller version of the original. I was more than pleasantly surprised that this place has a somewhat different, and equally amazing menu and an outstanding beer menu. Check out the beer steamed cockles and their version of pigs in a blanket - you won't be disappointed!

Really good beer, cool little spot

I live down the street and went in to check the place out with a couple of friends. It gets crowded on the weekends because the place is pretty small but the beer is GREAT! Check out the rochefort 8 and the old engine oil. Good place for a small group. Oh, good music too.

    this place is great!

so happy they opened in the neighborhood. the wine bar next door is a local favorite, and this gives more options for food. the oysters are great, and the beet salad rules.
