Terrific Neighborhood Joint
My husband and I ate at A.G.Kitchen on thursday night and the burgers were delicious. I had a version with bacon, guacamole and raw onion. It was perfectly cooked. I loved the skin-on French fries which were crispy and delicious. The waiter was attentive and the manager/owner kept an eye on everything making sure there was excellent, prompt service. We experienced no problems with our order; the tables near us were kept clean, and everything was run quite efficiently. We'll go back often.

Never again
I give this place two more months. It was horrendous. From the service (waiter had no idea what three of the first four entrees we asked about were), to the menu (three items that they not only don't have - but have never served), to the food (inedible) to the drinks (how do you mess up wine?). Never again.

Annoying, abysmal service
From the time I sat down, the table next to me was unclean and remained so. I had to sit there smelling the remainder of someone's meal because no bus boy bothered to clear the table. My waiter was annoyingly chatty, obsequious and enthusiastic, which is tolerable only when service isn't bad. My drink did not arrive. My appetizer did not arrive. After thirty minutes, a runner threw my entree at me. I asked for the waiter. When he failed to turn up after several more minutes, I stood up and walked out. I'll never set foot in the place again.

surpringly good arepas
After waiting for a long time to get into elsewhere, a friend and I came across AG Kitchen. This place underwent a few name changes and cuisine selections prior to AG Kitchen. Service was great and we tried their arepas and plaintains - rivals any great arepa place downtown.

The front of the house needs work
My third time at AG Kitchen. While the food is always tasty and well presented, it is very overpriced. What is worse, the service personnel is nice but incompetent, and last night was the most disappointing. We had an early New Year's eve dinner. Our waitress brought us a bottle of champagne and was obviously pleased when she loudly popped the cork sending it flying. She seemed surprised when I instructed her to ask the bartender to teach her how to open a bottle correctly to avoid injuring someone (New Year's eve after all). She left us the bottle, with no service towel, and no wine stand. Our order was placed incorrectly. There was no bottle service, we poured every glass ourselves, using our table napkins to wipe the bottle. All I can say is, I really miss City Grill, which always had great service, delicious food and was reasonable. I doubt I will be back ---3 strikes and you're out.

A few more months...maybe...
Service is way too slow. Menu is too limited. Food is inconsistent.
