What a find! My lunch date and I had the lamb mafe (peanut butter stew) and thiebou djeun (traditional meal); both we very tasty, hot, and well-prepared. Highly recommended! The $9 lunch specials are very filling and a real bargain. I'll definitely be back!

I recently visited this restaurant and loved the meal. Sometimes you take the good with the bad. Ok so the service is not the greatest, but it can work. The atmosphere can use a little sprucing up. Most important though, the food was tasty/good and the place was clean. The grilled fish with brown seasoned rice was excellent. When I was finished eating that fish, only bones were left. I strategically devoured it. The ginger beverage was really refreshing and went down easy. If you want some good eats, go for it, you have nothing to lose.

Great food for the money. I am a big eater and I couldn't finish half my food. My boyfriend hates fish and he couldn't stop eating off my plate, which was a fish meal. If you don't mind seating yourself or a table that may be a little off balance then definitely give this place a try... there are no other cons.

I came to this restaurant years ago, when it was Africa restaurant, and loved it. Then tried out the new upstairs reincarnation on an impulse the other day and was not so thrilled. I got cheb and it was like super-greasy, spicy Chinese fried rice, though the accompanying chicken was good. The service was scatty but friendly. The atmosphere...well, the restaurant is cavernous and ill-proportioned, though tries to be upscale.

I was introduced to this restaurant by a friend who turned me on to their mafe. I have been a regular ever since. I love the atmosphere - you can go here escape from the hustle and bustle chill and read or write or watch some african tv while you enjoy your food. The ginger beer is great too. As you guessed it I am a regular customer.

The food is good and not expensive... could do better on the service: availability of menu items, more napkins on the table.. u basically have to steal some from the next table (no kidding...).

Good food and great value for money but the place can do better on their customer service. They have generous portions but availability of menu items is not always guaranteed.
