I have eaten at this restaurant off and on for many years. Before they moved to a more spacious location upstairs, they were across 116th Street in the block and the food is just as good in the new spot. I had a fish dinner the couscous was great and the service was also adequate. I would recommend it to anyone wanting a taste of West African food. The price was on the money!

I was introduced to Africa Kine for the first time yesterday. I must say that I am impressed. I've had lamb before via family friends which completely turned me away from ever wanting to have it again. However, I tried it once again at Africa Kine and it was damn near close to steak rich in flavors and tender. I will go back to Africa Kine again and I highly recommend Marietou as your waitress.

after spending 2 1/2 years in west africa, i've been looking for a good senegalis food in the city. i have to say this place definitely took me back. first thing you notice as you step in is the nice decor and atmosphere that isn't too flashy but elegant. and it is filled with local west africans. food was delicious. grilled fish was excellent, maffe-the peanut sauce and lamp is a must try. and the thiebous! great flavor, except little lacking in vegetables in the sauce unlike the the great thiebous in west africa. definitely recommend this place. try the bissap and ginger drink. great drinks if you've had them in africa. not diluted like other places.

The food here is excellent. I have taken almost all of my friends here to taste their food, and everyone agrees that the food is incredible! I would definitely recommend this place to everyone!

So I went to African Kine with a friend and the eggs came with pieces of shells on them. The salad was hideous, I think they had onions in place of actual green salad. I ordered the grilled fish and it still had the scales on it... I guess they give you what you pay for your money. Its cheap so you get cheap FOOD.

The food is amazing. I think I have almost tried every dish on the menu. I like that they fixed the place up somewhat. It is comfortable. Could use some more decorations and improvement on service. But do not get me wrong, I love this place and will keep coming. The food is well worth it.

Service was too slow. Food was all fried even after being told that it's grilled. No alcohol. Juices are of extra taste-either too sweet or too sour.. Green salads go with MAYO!! But cheap. Definetly do not recommend!
