My boyfriend and I love afghani food and this is what brought us to this place. The restaurant is small yet inviting, very authentic design and decorations. I was really excited when I walked in because it is a really cute small place and the dim lighting made it kind of romantic. Right of the bat we waited to be seated which was the first and only dissapointment of the night, the staff lacked the entire night. We realized they were busy but we waiting a long time for our drink order, even to get menus!! the food was excellent, best white sauce i have ever had. Other than the service the place was great, excellent food, however we didnt even get tp try dessert beacause it took them about 30 minutes to clear our food once we were done. Service was the biggest turnoff of the night, i doubt we willl go there again unless its not a busy weekend.

    pretty average

food is pretty average by afghan standards, but the prices are great and the BYOB policy always ensures a full house. the appetizer salad is amazing and sometimes the best part of the meal. I don't feel like it's 100% spic and span clean but other than that's it's an ok, dependable, cheap-ish place to grab some afghan on the UES

    always good

We go here about 2 time a month & the food is consistently good. It's BYOB so the bill is always low & the entrees come with a delicious salad so an appetizer isn't really necessary. The waiter is delightful & we would highly recommend this restaurant.

    Great Kebabs

Tandoori chicken kebab was awesome, and the green sauce that comes with it is soo flavorful and tasty. The red sauce, not so much. Fish kebab is also good, try it! I thought cod would not be the best quality fish to use and they could use something better, but after trying it I thought it turned out well. The combination of spices make it very good. Stay away from the vegetable side orders though, they are pretty worthless. I've ordered carryout three or four times now, and tried something different each time b/c i wanted veggies as a side order (eggplant, squash, etc.), but each one has been pretty bad. Just steamed with some sauce caked on, but somehow didnt do it for me..

    Great kebabs

Great food, nice atmosphere. It seems a little pricey but the main dishes come with salad, bread, and your choice of rice or vegetables (no charge for subbing here!) all of which are delicious. The spicy fish kebab is always good.
