Afghan Kebab House #1

I don't understand the other reviewers... I had the most mediocre, flavorless meal here ever in New York City. We tried 3 different appetizers and the lamb stew, and each was either odd-tasting or quite flavorless. The lamb stew was entirely unremarkable, and at $12 a plate, way overpriced. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone. A big disappointment. (Service was fine.)

This Afghan is better than the newer one that has opened up on the west side of 9th. The food is fresh and the white sauce for the kebabs is superb.

friend took me here as favor for referring him to my diamond dealer. a modestly priced restaurant (my friend has no more $ since buying the engagement ring!), the food is very good. I love lamb & basmati rice so I always try to order this in any middle-eastern eatery. ambiance - none - who cares, at least not paying for expensive decor! SUM IT: for midtown, this is not bad to try out.
