Adrienne's Pizza Bar

My friends and I love going to Adrienne's- the Old Fashioned pizza is excellent and there is always left overs. I had the sole oregenato and it was so yummy-portion was just enough. The atmosphere is small but we are always seated right away. The owner is always walking around and is attentive to everyone. This is the perfect place to go with friends or go with a loved one. We were there for 2 hours, and the time just flew! The service could be a little bit better, waitress was not too friendly- but when you're with good company that is all that matters.

I think this is the best pizza I have ever had. I have never been to Italy, but that can be the only place where the pizza is better. As for the service, it can be slow, but if you know that going in you should be fine.

I live in the financial district and my wife and i love adrienne's old-fashioned pizza....it's really quite good...but because of their success, adrienne's service has gotten a bit lackluster and arrogant...we recently ordered take out and they delivered the wrong pizza...when calling them back, they didn't apologize, then asked if i'd made the mistake and then asked for the pizza back...what are they gonna do with this pizza? give it out to another customer? the in-person service is not much better...they are not very attentive or nice...ultimately, the pizza is expensive, service is bad but the pizza is good...

My husband, friends, and I found Adrienne's by asking someone for his recommendation... He said that Adrienne's has the best pizza in NYC. He was right! We arrived at 6:00 on the Saturday between Christmas and New Years' and were seated immediately. Our first impression was that the place was small, but felt cozy. I ordered the Moscato wine, which was a sweet, fizzy, fruity dessert wine that was FANTASTIC! We ordered some of Grandma's famous meatballs to share and really enjoyed them, including the sauce. We ordered a simple pepperoni pizza, and though the bottom corners were slightly burnt, it was the best pizza we've ever had. My husband was sure that there was some sort of grain that he uses when brewing his beer in the dough, but I think it was a yeasty flavor. The cheese seemed really fresh, and the pepperoni was great too. Our friend ordered a Margherita pizza, which she said was great too. The service was excellent, and they were really on top of clearning our table off to give more room and keep the service quicker for the next patrons at our table. The atmosphere was great, and the bathrooms were clean. We will definitely return to Adrienne's again! Tough to find off the beaten path, it seems like a spot for locals, which is exactly what we were looking for.

Order pizza for delivery at 12pm (called as soon as they opened to place order). Actually tried to call the day before, but they wouldn't take the order (10 pies). Was told delivery would be here between 11:30am - 12:30pm (even though I wanted 12pm) Tried to call to check on it, was told "we can't check on anything, we're swamped" and hung up on. Will never order from here again!

This is by far the best pizza I have had in NY, perfect crust, thin and crispy throughout, delicious mushroom topping. Also had an antipasto platter that was fantastic. The service was absolutely spot on. Waitress was incredibly fast and attentive but not bothersome. I was completely puzzled by all of the reviews complaining about the service because my experience was extremely positive. I recommend this place without reservation, top scores on all counts.

Based on the reviews here I expected poor service, cold entrees, and chaos all around; I had very low expectations but my friend really wanted to go here for dinner. That being said, the service we received was very warm, friendly and attentive, and the food was delicious. The wait staff was really accommodating, putting together a special entree for me (at no extra charge) after I wasn't able to find what I wanted on the menu. The atmosphere is loud, yes, and it's crowded, but the energy is good. And the pizza is divine.
