Nicest People, Boring Bland Food - Meh!
People are really nice here, they can't do enough for you, and the loyal customers love the low prices. So I see why this place is loved. The problem is the food - it's just not delicious, a couple notches down from B+. Fettucine Alfredo full of flour, Spag with Meat Sauce looked like dog food, salad like something you'd get at Denny's. Management deserves to succeed - they should try the other Italian restaurants on First Avenue as you walk up toward 23rd Street, where the chefs really crank out the standards with more love and pizzaz and flavor and excellence. There's just no reason why this place can't cook a little better. They deserve to have more customers. But New Yorkers know that, no matter how nice the staff is, if the food is meh, we'll go a few blocks North. We'll check back in six months and see if they've improved, and in the meantime, wish them well.

Can't get enough!
Enough said really! We've ordered take out a few times in the last week. I will be planning to dine in soon! Can't wait.

A neighborhood delight
Small and cozy with an outgoing owner and welcoming wait staff. The eggplant rollantine was delicious, the fresh salmon as well. A lovely-to-look-at tiramisu was equally lovely to eat. And adding untold spice to the evening--Audrey Joy, a charming keyboard player/singer who spanned musical periods, styles, and popular songs with an engaging good humor and eagerness to please. In all, just plain delightful.

Amazingly Great
Don't know what the last guy was talking about slimy pizza, no such thing... This place is amazing and I'm not just talking about the pizza we've started to order their pasta dishes and they are great. this isn't your average pizza joint, this is the next level. We order here once a week.

Thumbs down!
The quality of the pizza has deteriorated since the new management took over. The last pizza I ordered from here was undercooked, had very thin crust, and was slimy. I will not be ordering from here again.

Best Italian delivery
We order in all the time. The marsala is terrific as is the marinara sauce. You have to request marinara so that you don't get the tomato sauce. For the price you can't go wrong.

Great Eats
Consistently really good.
