Great food, poor service, never get delivery
The food is amazing, sometimes the service is great and sometimes their service is the worst, you just have to talk slowly and repeat your order several times. Never call in for delivery, they are the worst, they put you on hold for a long period of time (for me it was between 3 minutes and the last time was 5, I stayed on just to tell them off), when you do get your food, that is if you get it, it might not have everything you ordered and it will be cold. The worst part of the experience this is the best food on the west side...

very nice
Pleasant homey unpretentious. A pleasure for a casual meal. Good food.

Best neighborhood dining!
Just moved to neighborhood and already find my cozy Italian spot! It is delicious homemade pasta specials and thin crust pizza. After a long day at work somewhere I find a peace and good food! Very reasonable prices.

We'll never go there again!
Had not been in a while. (Used to be worth a B- grade. Now it has fallen, far.) One dish good; but lasagna could have come from my grocer's freezer. Pizza had a nice but too salty crust. And the tomato sauce on the pizza was far too thin, watery, spoiled the whole pizza. Apparently the same sauce was used on the lasagna. And, prices have gotten very high. Mediocre (really should have been rejected) wines start at $31; glasses are $10 or $11. So in summary, while the service was good this place is not worth the price.

best meal in a long time
went to Acqua on a visit from Boston...stumble upon the place really. It was a beautiful night and my sister and I wanted to eat outside. The meal was top notch - we both split the mixed salad and each had the salmon. Everything was fresh and flavorful. Service was excellent too. When I told our waitress that I loved the Caponata that was served with the fish she gave me a few little tips to making mine better at home. Will definitely try this recipe at home and recommend Acqua to anyone visiting the Upper West Side

A Warm Place
Delightful pizzas, a wonderful new chef, a very warm atmosphere sums up Acqua. You always feel like you are part of the family, and have consistent delicious plates without breaking the bank. I always enjoy the smiling staff and the yummy specials. My wife is a vegetarian and this is one of the few places we can go in the neighborhood where I know she will be happy for sure.

The best gnocchi in NYC
We eat at Acqua several times a week and never get tired of the wood burning oven pizza, the exceptional fish preparations, the pasta with clam sauce and the gnocchi which is a life changing eating experience. The salads are fresh and interesting and the service is pleasant. Its a good value- and it never disappoints.
