I tried several pastas and they are all excellent. Their pizza is also very very good, roman style (crusty and crunchy). Mozzarella is homemade and you can tell. The taste is amazing. I recommend Acqua to all lovers of Italian cuisine.

Acqua is consistently good with their salads and pasta. The pizzas are traditional and should be tried by everyone. The place is popular so you may have to wait a bit. The biggest downside is they don't always deliver.

Just back from Italy I went to Acqua with friends and had better food than in Rome. The polenta with mushrooms and focaccia al formaggio are really great! The ambiance is good and the service professional. I'll be back.

I am very surprised by the poor reviews. I have had nothing but wonderful experiences at this hidden gem. The atmosphere is subtle, and the service friendly. The food itself is of exceptional quality. This is not a "red sauce" Italian - this is the real deal, and the food is amazing. I have had two of the best pastas I have ever had here. My mom who is an Italian cook could not stop raving about the food. The apple dessert served with mascarpone ice cream is SUBLIME. So rich and subtle and not too sweet. The hazelnut gelato too is amazing. I look forward to my next visit!

We ate there last night. It too k about 10 minutes before anyone came to take our drink order and then about 15 more minutes before we received them. The food was just ok, nothing to write home about.

If your in the downtown Seaport / Financial district and are looking for a good place to eat this is perfect. The quarters are tight but nice. I have seen complaints about the service but i have never had a problem and I've been there 5 or 6 times. Good food.

Lovely atmosphere. Great food. I recommend all pastas and the Tagliata steak. Candlelit ambiance in one of the loveliest corners of the old New York.
