Not recommended
The food was bland and tasteless and the service was poor.

Delicious
The food here is absolutely delicious with an overflowing amount of meat in each dish like no one in the area, typically 4-5 morsels of meat. The lamb is always fresh and young, very rare in the Indian restaurant game! And I do eat here regularly. The restaurant is not the most pleasantly decorated, but the food is way more important to me. Give this place a try... if you are a regular indian food diner (and not a newbee), you wont be dissapointed.

I had the delivery guy come back and take the food away...
As the title says, "I had the delivery guy come back and take the food away..." I ordered a few items including 2 vegetable dishes, a partha, and samosa... Everything was gastly... I called up the manager, and told him the food was inedible, lacked flavor, could not be salvaged with any of the supplied condiments, and were not worth taking up space as leftoevers in my fridge... In the end, the delivery guy returned and took back the food. In all my years in the city, I have never sent food back to a restaurant, even if it wasn't the best.

Poorest indian food in NYC
Shame to call this indian food - the sag paneer was all cream as was the chicken tikka masala, they put sugar ineverything (like gujarati food), and food was tasteless supposed to send one daal with each entree - for three entrees sent one -when called at 930 pm on fri night - said they are out of it and go ahead and put a review in Will not order again

works for me
Got take out and the condiments are what makes it really good, otherwise your asking for good but bland food. Fully satisfies my Indian fix and will be back.

Hot
Food is very tasty. But a WARNING-- do not order "hot" unless you are prepared for a completely numb mouth. Spicy beyond belief. Food is great though!

Had great time
Achar openned recently in the neighborhood. Couple of days ago, two of my friends and me went to try their food. I gotta say, their food is one of the best, I have tried many Indian restaurant in the neighborhood, I found theirs very tasty. Service was excellent and decor is nice. It was fun experience.
