Very Italian
Went there for dinner. The first impression was nice. After seated, we are given some prosciutto, cheese and bread. We waited for a long time, but they still haven't give us the menu. We had to ask for a menu, else you won't get one. The menu is only written in Italian, so we didn't understand a word on it, and so we asked the waiter to explain. However, the waiter said he cannot do it and the head waiter will come over and explain later. We waited again for a long time before the head waiter come over to explain. He is very friendly, but still his English is still not easy to understand. Basically it is very hard to just order something from the menu if you do not know Italian. At last we got something like a mixed seafood plate and a special veal chop. The seafood plate turns out to be the same sauce as our "clams in red sauce" appetizer. The sauce is great, but we got bored after having it in the appetizer. The veal chop was really big, but the sauce has kind of a strong taste. It was great for the first few bites, but u'll get over that excitement after that first few bites. We ordered a tiramisu for dessert and it was the best. If I remember correctly, the entrees are around $30-$40 per plate and the tiramisu is around $10. During dessert, they'll also give you some complimentary home made cognac. Basically, I would rate the food above average. However, with the high price of the food there, I would prefer to using it for some fine French food. We (two of us) ended up paying about $160 out the door. Oh, and one more thing, you have to tip the waiter and the head waiter separately (shown on your credit card stub).

touch of class
A fine romantic dining experience with chicly selected extras. Excellent service and authentic Italian touch. On the pricey side but a great place to go for a special occasion. Menu options are nearly limitless (if it's not on menu just ask for what you want).

Great Night in Tribeca
I always come back to Acapella. If you expect excellent personal service from a staff who genuinely takes pride in your dining experience, this place never fails you. The food is great, the presentation dynamic, great wine, humorous and interesting wait staff, in old school style, we love it !
