    My favorite restaurant in NYC!

Get the aloko to start and the senegalese fried chicken - to die for. My fave restaurant in the whole city. Not to be missed!

What is with all the hype? Not at all worth it.

The service here is friendly and the waiters are great, but the food is unappetizing and overrated. I was thoroughly disappointed by brunch- the meal took 45 minutes to come out, the order was wrong, and the eggs were rock hard and the flavors not right. I do not reccommend aBistro and there are many other great places to eat in the neighborhood. I will not be returning.

    Veggie Burger Genius

The most flavorful, interesting, inventive veggie burger I have ever tasted. If you are a fan of the homemade variety of vburgs, you should try aBistro's. ("Yum" doesn't even do it's justice.)

    Wonderful fine dinning experience

I have been to this restaurant three times. I have been to their sister restaurant Abistro on Carlton several times as well. If you enjoy the food at Abistro on Carlton then you will love this food. Recently I had their short ribs in a Sorrel reduction sauce. Amazing!! I recommend the regular menu: the Joloff , or the Abistro Mussels as appetiziers, and the Poulet Frite Sénégalaise (Senegalese Fried Chicken) Spicy wasabi flavored chicken breast. Sides: Honey plantains. The Agneau Braisé was a little heavy with the peanut. But the meat fell from the bone with just the threat of the fork. The collard greens were spicy and flavorful. Dessert: Ginger/Peach cobbler: warm, yummy goodness with ginger crumble. The Decor is clean and modern. The service is superfriendly. They have recently gotten their liquor license so now they have drinks on the menu. Drinks are okay. But overall warm, beautiful, and friendly atmosphere. Best in the neighborhood.
