    Fantastic Kosher Date Place

Abigael's is a superb restaurant. Much better service and food than La Marais. Abigael's has so much room between tables, and there is more than enough light in the room to make sure that you sit down at the right table after using the nice restrooms (more than I can say about La Marais). Ask them for a "birthday card" form, and they will mail you a free entree coupon on your birthday as specified. Wonderful service. Fabulous steak. The best bread (garlic w/ tomato butter paste...beats corn chips and crayons...ha!) They don't take Discover, though.

    Awesome

We went for my birthday. I walked into what seemed like a small packed restaurant. I was told it was the Green Tea Lounge, (Abigael's Pan Asian room) and was told that the main dining room was downstairs and that both menus were offered in both locations. I was disappointed that we could not sit at the Green Tea Lounge but I was comforted that there was a table available in the Main dining room. While waiting for our table to be available, I used the restroom and found it to be very clean. The dining room was elegant, my server was very knowledgeable and the food was outstanding. Overall the experience was well remembered and I will be returning soon.

    A Pleasure! Old Elegance!

Food was presented well but what if you do not eat Garlic. Everything as Garlic in it. Sometimes people are allergic to it as anything else. My friend cannot eat garlic so we asked the waiter for a baked potatoe or plain roasted or mashed or french fries or rice , he could not substitue except with somemore salad. As everything on the menu had garlic and with an excellent chef and prices could he not make an exception? Also it was my birthday and my friend made a reservation for Tues night and with spaces on the leather couches and more indoor tables she placed us near the door and my boyfriend had to stare at the old wall and door.

    Service

We recently dined there with a group of 13. The food was lovely and beautifully presented. However, the service? We spoke to the maitre d' at least three times; each time we then got service. They add an 18% gratuity to large group orders. Is this why they don't feel it's necessary to earn the tip?

    Great food!

The chef at Abigael's does truly amazing work. I went there for a family birthday and was truly pleased. The service was excellent as well. I recommend Abigael's.
