excellent Indian.
We've eaten here twice. The food was delicious, if a little pricey. Looking forward to going back.

I love this place!
I have truly enjoyed everything I have tried at this restaurant. I have dined in the restaurant and also had take out. The food was served fresh and hot at all times - and most importantly, full of flavor. The service has always been superb. The waitstaff are very attentive but are not overbearing. They are helpful when asked for advice or suggestions on the menu as well. The atmosphere is light and happy and the dining experience always a joy.

Wonderful Indian Restaurant
i've been to Aangan now at least five times since it opened, and will go back tonite. It is stiff competition for Indus Valley. The food is excellent. It is definitely one of the best Indian restaurants I've eaten in in NYC, and I've eaten in many. The mulligatawny soup is a great starter.

great indian food on the uws
I can't attest to the atmosphere or service but the food we ordered for delivery was A+++. The spices were perfect. I don't know where the other reviewers ate where they said the food had no flaor, but it wasn't this restaurant. Very highly recommend.

The best Indian Restaurant on the UWS!
I tried out this restaurant and I completely LOVED it. The food was delicious with just the right amount of flavor. The atmosphere was quiet and peaceful and the service was excellent. I am definately going back. This is my new UWS Indian Restaurant!

Great new UWS addition
Was happy to try out and be satisfied with this UWS newcomer. The atmosphere is great - it looks like a "downtown" restaurant. The dishes are tasty. Some are traditional ones that you'll see on any Indian menu while others, like the veg bun, are more unique. The lunch thalis are a great deal.

sad to see the old place go
i ordered from Royal Kabob a lot and was sad when they closed. This place took their spot - very modern and slick. Also without flavor. If you like your indian food without curry this is the spot for you. The Mulligatawny tastes like canned soup, the chicken Tikka is beyond bland and the chutney has not chut...its just sickeningly sweet.
