Very good authentic Indian Food
Very good place for a nice variety of Indian food. Their Malabar Chicken, Chicken Chettinad and Veg Chettinad is outstanding and authentic. I have always ordered for delivery but the people on the phone are very friendly. The South Indian variety is good too. We always eat from here once a week and would definitely recommend it to others.

My favourite Indian in the City - as for the Taste
One of the best Indian restarurants in the City. Not super upscale. Small place, wonderful for a personal dining experience. The Food: -The food here is extemely delicious. I got the chance to meet the Chef - he is from 'Chola' one of the other super good restaurants in the City. Try: Appetizers - Karari bhindi, chicken saslick, hariyali chicken kabab, tawa shrimp Main course: Palak - chana(spinach chickpeas) palak -aloo (spinach potato) Bhuna Gobi aloo Jhinga masala, Chicken Vindaloo Have to EAt: Maharani Dal (Dal Makhani/ lentil soup with butter) Panchratna Dal from Jaipur Few things I have tried and the best that I liked among those. Atmosphere: Small place, personal dining experience (not too upscale) Service: Service isn't too bad but not too professional either. But not a super upscale place so don't expect too much. Just go for the food. Value: All in all I think it is great value for money. Awesome food and mediocre service. I would say, Trust the Chef - don't worry too much about the helpers/servers.

Confused by reviews
I've never submitted a review but here I am after being pretty disgruntled with the service at this place. Waitress kept clunking things onto the table and leaning into the table to pour water, which effectively was elbowing my friend in the face. I ordered the chana masala which made me sick the day after. The eggplant was tasty but I think it was the only thing out of the four things we ordered. The nan and the onion kulcha were not so good. We order vegetarian samosas and one of the samosas was all ground meat. So I find some of the review confusing and certainly don't plan on returning.

Best Indian in HK, possibly the city
Wow, this was an excellent experience! Service was great, food was better. Certainly supplants any other bid for best Indian in Hell's Kitchen/Midtown West, possibly all of NYC. Try the Aloo Chat, the wonderful sauces (which were explained in detail by a passionate waiter), tender lamb, spicy saag paneer, the naan. I'll be back.

Fabulous Intimate Find in Hell's Kitchen!
Finally, an Indian restaurant in the neighborhood worthy of a good review. With the area saturated with middle-eastern and Italian joints, it’s so refreshing to have a value, service and deliciousness all in one at Aaheli. From the moment I arrived I was greeted by name at the door and shown to my table where a friend awaited me. We were given the utmost in service, along with helpful menu suggestions and nothing was out of the question in regards to special dietary needs (I don’t eat dairy). I highly recommend Aaehli to anyone new to Indian food and also to those who have loved it as long as I have.

Great food, bad service!
Food was amazing, but took over an hour to get our lunch! Not a good place when you are hourly and only have a limited lunch.
