I was fortunate enough to go to A Voce Columbus last weekend with a few friends, and I can whole-heartedly say that it was one of the best dining experiences I've had in NYC in a while. I read some negative reviews and was skeptical, but they were definitely wrong. The wait staff so attentive and charming (Waiter's name was Chris, and back waiter named, Jonathan)-- they were always there to fill my water & wine without me ever having to ask—the food was brought out at the perfect time, and nobody rushed us to leave (we probably spent 2 ½ hours there). The food was amazing and authentic. The pancetta was probably the best pork I've ever had- full of flavor. The Insalata de Pera was fresh and delicious (I don't normally like pears but was pleasantly surprised). The cassoncini were probably my favorite part of the whole meal- a cheese filled fried dough wrapped in prosciutto? Hell yeah. Main course, my friends and I shared the Ravioli which was a classic dish with a modern spin because of the slight taste of fennel. The Chicken dish was what I was recommended to order from a friend, and she was completely right. It was delicious, fresh and perfectly seasoned. The pork was also a delicious and impressive meal that made me crave more! The dessert was yet again- amazing. With the help of our waiter, we ordered delicious medley of homemade ice creams (hands down- best mint ice cream I've ever had). The Bombolini were amazing little munchkins filled with crème and chocolate sauce for dipping! I was so pleased with my meal here that I would not only go back, but endorse to my friend!

This place is AMAZING!...The food is beyond excel let. I highly recommend this place & the ambience is great. My first experience was great and I have been 4 times thereafter... Highly recommend for foodies, adventurers & cultured individuals !

The fish I had said sea bass in the menu description. I only read the menu description because I can't read Italian. When the food came, the fish was something else. On top of that, underneath the fish there was raw union and dill salad. They really didn't go with the fish at all. This was our 25th anniversary dinner. The flavor of the raw onion stayed in my mouth even after I finished my wine. My husband had lamb chops with sausage. The sausage was undercooked. The prices are much too high for the food you get. Don't waste your money at this restaurant.

Like the old story, there is absolutely nothing there. How this place is still full, how it is well thought of is just beyond me. I am a great supporter of the restaurant business and very protective of staff. To be frank, everyone here, from the Chef/owner on down needs to retire from the business. It was like the old Groucho Marx line - "Such bad food - and such small portions." Salad that was outshined by a salad bar. Ravioli of goat cheese and proschutto that was cold on the inside and horribly over salted. Branzino that was so overcooked and oversalted that it remembered salt cod. Service that was either snotty or absent. What a joke - especially when the bill came.

Though the atmosphere, presentation, and service at A Voce was great, the food was pale in comparison. My meal was **unseasoned, oversalted, and rather oily**. The dessert, specifically, **La Torta is a total homerun**. Overall my experience at this restaurant felt like a beautifully wrapped box with nothing inside. A dissapointment.

No complaints about the food. Signature chicken dish is very tasty, escarole salad and pasta dish also quite good, but the drink pour is very cheap. The bartender actually measured a drink on the rocks. I paid plenty, but felt very disappointed. Come on A Voce!
