    Absolutely the worst

I live right around the corner from this place and have been in four times. The pizza is looks like it is a day old. The counter help is very unfriendly. But one of the worst things is that the pizza is VERY expensive. It is over 3 dollars for a plain slice. I got a GYRO and the meat wasnt even off the skewer (think :one of those lamb gyro machines). The meat was sitting in a drawer. He put the meat on the pita bread and then heated it up. After it was out of the oven the meat was so hard you couldnt even bite through it. I had to throw it out.

    Bad service, bad pizza!

Went there for lunch, asked for a chicken parmagiana hero..didn't have it. Asked for a meetball hero...didn't have it. I pointed to the menu and it was listed. The guy behind the counter said with an attitude "I know whats on the menu but we don't have it today". Actually went back on another day and tried the pizza. It was by far one of the worst slices I have had in this city. Just because the slice is huge it doesn't make up for the bad taste. My friend was unhappy with his slice as well.

    Not recommended

Went for lunch today and it was not a good experience. The guys behing the counter couldn't be less friendly if they tried. We got 2 regular slices, 1 specialty slice, and 1 drink for $12.85. My 2 regular slices were half warm and my girlfriend's specialty slice was completely cold. At risk of bothering them, we had them reheated. Finally, we got to eat and the pizza was not very good at all. The ingredients in the pizza were either not fresh (at all!) or cheap.

Not Worth Your Time or Money

I recently went to "Slice" for a piece of pizza on my lunch break. Aside from the slices being priced exorbitantly, the man behind the counter was unhelpful and unhygienic. My boyfriend asked for a slice of cheese and was offered a day old slice with the remark "It’s all the same." Do not be persuaded to spend money in here based on the seemingly delicious window display. I will never again spend $15 on three slices of this pizza. Also, while we were eating a homeless man came up to our table and repeatedly asked us for spare change. Three workers at the pizzeria saw it and did nothing- which goes to show this happens a lot.

    Excellent

A Slice of New York is an excellent place to get pizza in NYC.... The slices are enormous and the pizza was delicious... I'd reccommed it to anyone!

    Better elsewhere

Before I give a poor rating, I always try to visit an establishment several times. The pizza here really is not worth the money or time needed to visit. The taste is bland. There are much better places in Hell's Kitchen.
