Poor service!
Best pizza in the neighborhood... If it ever gets delivered. I've never gotten a pizza in under an hour. When you call for delivery, they put you on hold for five minutes like they never took an order before. One time I picked up the pizza, and I never heard such a barrage of cursing in my life, and I've lived in NYC for 15 yrs.

Order by the slice
I LOVE Slice of Brooklyn! We eat lunch there more often than I should admit. It's delicious and cheap. The staff there has gotten to know us, and they're great. I do advise, however, to order slices instead of a whole pie. The double time in the oven makes all the difference. The crust is thin and crispy. The whole pies have softer, thicker dough.

The absolute worst delivery
I ordered a pie that was never delivered! Way to go Slice of BK. Beware if you place a late night order. You may not get your pizza! I ordered a pie on a Saturday night and asked if they would make a delivery, they said yes. I ordered a large pie and paid over the phone with my credit card @ 10:53 pm. I was told to expect delivery within 30-40 minutes. OK no problem. (There website states delivery within 45 minutes, which they did not honor) After an hour and 15 minutes went by I called the shop. The owner answered and I asked when I could expect my pizza. He yelled… “hold on... ugh 10 more minutes... 10 minutes!” Wow... 10 more minutes meant it would have taken an hour and a half to get my pizza and it would be 12:30 AM! The guy hadn’t even left the shop! When I called back to find out if the delivery would actually happen the guy yelled “do you want the pizza or not?!” He continued with more rude remarks. I told him don’t worry about the pizza because, I don't except that type of disrespectfulness from any business where I spend my hard earned money. I called the next day to have a credit issued to my card, because they had charged my account. The new guy I spoke with was much nicer and had taken my original order the night before. He explained that the guy who was rude was the owner and he apologized for him. Seriously, I’ll never patronize this mediocre pizza shop again. All that drama and the pizza isn't even that good. I was just hungry and trying to give them business.

priced for yuppies
Slice of Brooklyn has better pizza than most of the other corner pizza places in the neighborhood. The crust is actually thin and the sauce and toppings seem to be high quality and are delicious. I loved the slice of basil and mozzarella that I got in the store. Strangely, though, both times I ordered in from them I had to check the call log on my cell to make sure I hadn't accidentally ordered form somewhere else. The crust was thick and pillowy so that, even though the sauce was still good, the amount of crust totally overwhelmed the other tastes. I'll be sticking to take-out slices from now on.

Not Good
Mediocre is the only word I can use to describe the best thing I tasted here. The calzone, although edible, was made of mozzarella more reminiscent of tires than cheese. What I was really looking forward to was the "homemade mozzarella sticks". These were some of the worst mozzarella sticks I have ever had. The sandwich was saucy and made of none too fresh ingredients. The pizza was meh. Oh yeah and it's overpriced and slow. I won't be eating here again.

a good slice
A step or two above your corner pizza place, as far as Crown Heights is concerned. I think they have a tasty sauce and a good crust. It's the only pizza I've found in the neighborhood that is good for morning left-overs! A little more on the pricey side but only by a few bucks. And it's well worth it for the taste!
