Taste Great BUT Not worth $$ spent

Disappointed first time customer and i was excited to find a spot less than a block away! But was disappointed in the lack of meat & veg inside. I REALLY loved the Banh Mi flavors & would like to make this my place of choice, but for 7.08 w/ tax, the sandwich fell short. Very thin for the price! Hardly any insides. Extremely skimpy on the meat and all the fixin's. Ate more bread than al the rest together. Definitely need something else eat. I will go to Banh Mi Saigon on Grand btwn Mott & Elizabeth for 5.50 and get 2x as much. I'll try other things here but i don't think I'd do the Banh Mi again b/c of price for quantity.

    Enjoyed the food

Went to this restaurant on 5/28/2014 and enjoyed the food. I ordered the curry Salmon and my cousin the curry Shrimp. The food was plentiful as we were also given brown rice and some kind of pancake. We both enjoyed it as it was a pretty cool evening so the hot food really hit the spot. My food took a while but my cousin's came promptly. It is a hole in the wall so don't expect it to be fancy. It seems like they do a lot of take out business.

    Not real Vietnamese food

If you've had authentic Vietnamese food before, then don't expect it from this place. It's just not good at all. It's less than mediocre for the high prices on the menu. If you want mediocre, salty and unhealthy food, then go to a street vendor instead and pay $5.00 for lunch and soda, seriously! That's about the same quality for the value you'd get here.

    Stay Away

Overpriced. No, pick-pocketed. My lunch was $16.50 for a cold, salty noodle dish loaded with MSG (the after affects were devastating!) If you've had authentic Vietnamese food before, DO NOT expect the same here. They didn't even know how to pronounce menu items (example - they pronounced "bun" like a 'bread bun' *sigh* I ate less than half of it. What a waste.

    Best in FiDi

I have not ordered lunch but we did get dinner twice and everything was fresh and quickly delivered. Finally a Vietnamese place downtown that gives adequate supplies of fresh, lively cilantro, basil, mint, etc with each order. The food spread is adequate and generous. A real pleasure and delivered with a smile! Perhaps not as good as others, but a welcome needed addition to downtown.

    Best Vietnamese in FinDist

This is cozy Vietnamese restaurant in the heart of FinDist. For those that work nearby city hall should come and give a try. Bun is awesome and Cha Gio has rich flavor.
