    Fantastic

Great service, and excellent food. I highly recommend the pheasant pate. However, all the dishes are great, and in portions that are just right!

    Great hideout

The menu offering has changed slightly since the MenuPages listing but the food was excellent. The smoked chicken breast with goat cheese was killer.

    Amazing

Great BYOB. They only use organic ingredients, and wild & sustainable fish. The combination of flavors is incredible. Highly highly recommended: the pear with camembert, the avocado with shittake mousse, and the smoked salmon entree.

    Disappointment

We went early on a Friday evening to avoid the crowds. After reading stellar reviews, I expected a real treat. What good are reasonable prices if the portions are tiny? We shared one appetizer and two entrees which amounted to a meal for one! The food was good, but I will not return.

    Fantastic Flair

We came across the restaurant on New Year's Eve 2004 while in the Upper West Side. It was quite the find to get away from the posh side of the Upper Wide Side. The starters, the main courses (duck for my wife and mushroom stew for myself )and the deserts were all fantastic! I was amazed at how they are able to produce such a variety and high quality in a kitchen not any larger than my computer desk. It was essentially French food created with Carribean spices. I was also impresed that the restaurant only used organic ingredients. I highly recommend it to anyone who really appreciates a fine meal without the pretention and the expensive tab.

    Ok

This is a cool place to eat, and byob rocks, and so do the prices. But you pay for what you get. Not everything on the menu is great and so this is why the restaurant is just ok. Out of the 4 things we ordered, only one was really enjoyable. We might give it another shot sometime.
