The best joint in town for your money
I've been ordering for my staff for the past 15 years, absolutey no regreats. Ribs out of this world, vegatables the freshest you can get, everything cook just right, they take pride in satisfying the customer, always service with a smile. Kudos to the owner, nicest person.

Best Broccoli and Tofu in East Village
When hankering for some fresh Chinese food -- especially broccoli and tofu in zesty garlic sauce -- A & C hasn't failed us yet! Of course get it delivered and enjoy in your own apt, as the "atmosphere" is non-existance at best. Still, I haven't filled out one of these reviews before, but figured this place deserves it. I also worry that terrific EV joints like this -- which is a screaming deal to boot -- may disappear if we don't pay attention and frequent the most worthwhile. THIS is one.

Good Food Great Price
For the price, I was kinda expecting greasy cheap food. But the egg foo young was not greasy at all and the fried rice was almost fluffy. Don't know if it's because they were busy or maybe cause it was a Sunday, but the food was good. And so cheap, it was worth the hour wait for delivery.

Best Hot-n-Sour Soup Ever!
A&C is the kind of place you would walk right by and never think to order food from. I took a chance on it one day when I was really hungry and only had $8 to my name. It is the best value ever! Everything is super fresh and delicious. The hot-n-sour soup is honestly amazing, the best I've ever had. Instead of having it in a large vat and ladling into smaller containers, they make each order fresh! Highly highly recommend A&C for cheap fast neighborhood chinese take-out.

bad, not worth money even if cheap
shrimp roll had 2 shrimps and full off cabbage. calamari batter was nasty, probably been cooked in stale oil. not worth it at all. delivery was quick, but completely unsatisfied.

Good & cheap local take-out
I have lived a couple blocks away from A&C for five years but always avoided it because it looked divey. After reading all these positive reviews I decided to give it a chance and I was very pleased. I agree with most of the statements already posted. The broccoli is very crisp and the hot & sour soup hit the spot. I'm looking forward to going back to try the lo mein or the soy burgers!
