I'll go elsewhere
Their customer service motto is "the customer is always wrong." If you order cheddar cheese, be prepared to get a sandwich with American cheese and then have to argue with the guy about what you actually ordered. The bagels are fresh, but nothing else is. The items in the refrigerator case (deli salads, babaganoush, etc.) generally form a hard crust on the top from being in there for so long.

The best
Best bagels I ever had. Only downside - they've gotten stingy with the cream cheese.

Delicious!
I order from here all the time the bagels are always fresh, soft and hot! I really think this is the best bagel place in midtown highly recommended!

Nothing special
Well I wanted to try some place new so I ordered from this place. Nothing special, the bagel was cold and dry and hard to chew. I felt like I was chewing gum instead of a bagel. I would not recommend ordering from this place.

Beyond Fresh
We order every week for work. The bags are so hot when they get delivered, that we actually have to stand back while opening to avoid a "bagel facial". Amazing bagels and spreads. Good Bialys too. Prompt delivery service. What more do you need?

The Best
Good observation, Mike. I do think their food is parve and the meat may in fact be kosher although of that I'm not sure. But I think originally it was Israeli-run so it makes sense. I also think if they adevrtised themselves as kosher they would have to shut on Friday night...Anyway, the bagels are AWESOME! The guys who work there are so sweet, if in a bit of a hurry.

The most reliable place in the 'hood
Considering how expensive midtown east can be, Jumbo is absolutely one of the best offerings in the area. Open 24 hours a day, it's far more reliable than the neighborhood pizza parlors (and healthier too!) for that occasional 2 am drunken binge meal. Jumbo is the only place in the neighborhood that will serve you up a hot egg sandwich on a lazy Sunday afternoon. By the way, for those of you that complained about the bacon tasting funny, I'm pretty sure that's because they use beef bacon instead of pork. I don't think they serve pork products (they use beef bacon, turkey ham, etc). Kind of funny how they don't really advertise it and nobody seems to notice.
