I'm here for the summer at nyu and from northwest philly where I go to school all year. Anyway, I tried 99 miles to philly last night and was blown away. The guy at the register was reminiscent of jims - my favorite back home. More important the steaks rocked. I guess i came at the right time because they told me the bread was just changed and very close to the staple amorosos. All I know is I'm there all summer till I go back home.

Tasty steaks, but delivery not recommended

They have very tasty steaks, but couldn't manage to get a simple order delivered just 6 blocks away in under an hour, let alone the 15-20 minutes they estimated. Places that deliver good food quickly are a dime a dozen around here. I recommend picking up your own order, or trying someplace else.

    Cheesesteak, Cheesesteak

Thousands of NYU kids can't be wrong. The steaks are great, quality is high and the people are nice. And they have a monster plasma screen. What more do you want?

    A poor facsimile

Dry bread, salty cheese on the cheese fries, skimpy amounts of onions, and blah fries make this not worth the 9.50 I paid for my meal. In addition, the woman on the phone got both my address and my phone number wrong which meant the food showed up cold.

    Bring on the Cheese!

I really like this place and would definitely recommend it if you're in the area and looking for a snack (especially post-drinking session), but I'm hoping they'll read my review and stop skimping on the cheese! I ordered normal cheese the first time, and it was bone dry. So I got double cheese the second time (double the price) and it was still pathetic. Come on guys! It's supposed to be a CHEESE steak.

    I've had'em all

I've tried all this city has to offer cheesesteak-wise and this is the best! The place is small but looks great (nice tv) and the staff is fun and nice. Overall I loved it and will return! Maybe tomorrow!

    I've had better

Right when I saw the word "cheesesteak" on the sign, I immediately wanted to try it. The place is very small with a surprising number of workers. Service is mediocre. Upon looking at the menu, I was a little disappointed that the meat alone costs $5 and it only included the onions...not the cheese (I thought they were selling CHEESEsteaks? Why should I have to pay extra for cheese? It should be included in the $5 total) Regardless I wanted to give this place a try so I ordered a cheese steak with onions and provolone with mushrooms (total was around $6.50). Out comes an 8 inch cheesesteak that could have tasted much better. It was pretty bland to say the least. I had to use all the sauces that were available to me. If you haven't tried it yet, I guess you could give it a try for comparison. Their chili fries are pretty good except they get soggy if you don't eat them fast enough, and cost a whopping $4.50 for a very small dish.
