Good Food, Pricey and SLOW Service
I live around the corner and think this is a cute local spot with free WiFi. The Chai Latte, coffee and breakfast sandwiches are all very good. However, it is pretty expensive and it takes FOREVER to get your order. I had to stop coming in the AM because I always end-up being late for work because of the wait at 88 Orchard. Another victim of hipster help.

poor service
another review said the staff changes weekly, very true. i live in the neighborhood, and use to love coming there. they do have really good bagels and muffins although the sandwiches/salads ect. are definitly nothing to write home about. also the prices are just ridiculous. you are in no means getting what you pay for here. also the service is just plain awful. one of the worst places i have been. again i live in the neighborhood and use to go here all the time when they were friendly. now they dont even bother to say hello, maybe a how are you..nothing. if there are more then four people in the place everyone seems to act as if they have no idea what is going on. another place to add to the list of an unfriendly place. i will not go in to this place again. too bad because i was a very frequent happy customer.

?
the staff in this place changes on an almost weekly basis.. there must be something wrong with the owner. $10 dollars for the sandwiches they serve is absurd. they don't come with a salad or anything... half a pickle if you're lucky. too bad, the place is pretty

great find
Found this place while shopping in the LES. Great spot to take a break and grab a bite to eat. Staff was super friendly and seemed to know a lot of the customers by name. Had one of the best lattes I have had in a long time. They also have great sandwiches. I will definitely be back next time I am in the area.

wrong wrong wrong
the coffee might be local, but they have no idea how to brew it. the food is overall good, but highly overpriced.

Lovely!!
I just discovered this place, as I am new to the area. I love it!! The space is amazing, with windows that wrap all the way around the place, perfect for people watching. The downstairs is also very cozy, nice for a meeting or lunch date. The food is fantastic, and the wait service at night is also very nice. I hope they keep this after the summer is over. Its a nice place to catch a drink before heading to dinner. As for the service, I have read the previous reviews and beg to differ. Although the previous posts are from the beginning of the year. I have never had encountered bad service and always recieve my food within a reasonable amount of time. I am glad I found a great cafe in my neighborhood.

good food, poor service
I live right down the street from this place and go there often. Everything on the menu is very good. My favorites are the turkey reuben and the herb omelet on ciabatta. Their chai is also very good. Although their food is tasty their service is quite poor. On multiple occasions my food has been forgotten or has taken way too long to make. My roomate went there once and waited over an hour for a roast beef sandwich--only to find out they completely misplaced his order.
