I used to love 7a. Dispite the inconsistent service (either great or highly neglegent), this was my favorite breakfast joint. However, now that they have hiked up the price of their breakfast special, there is nothing special left.

havent been to 'the big apple' for a while. I remember 7A back when I used to live here. Food was always great with an affordable prices attached and you could always depend on watching some interesting people. I passed through there this weekend with my wife for dinner and 'people watching'. I was real happy to see that the place is still busy as I remembered it and continued to have this lower east side buz to it. The food was great. Service was prompt and pleasant. Overall, It was a great experience all around. Only down side is there is no 7A back where I live.

We gave up on 7A a couple of months ago, due to the long delivery times experienced. However, the food is affordable and not bad. However, tonight was the last straw. An hour an a half after placing the order, the food is still not here. 7A says the delivery guy left with 4 orders, 30 minutes ago. We live 5 1/2 blocks from the resturant. Needless to say, we will not be ordering again.

Part of why I loved going to Sidewalk was the staff - now it seems several are gone and from what I heard they were let go so that the place could hire new blood. That's BS! Food is still good so I'll likely continue to order, but I doubt I'll ever go back.

Used to go here to eat but after being ignored for 20 mins on more than one occasion started getting delivery which is prob faster than waiting to place your order with a wait person! On the plus side the food is always good so it's a pity the service isn't on par. Also not so friendly on the phone!

The food is consistently good. The wait staff turnover is incredibly low (unlike Sidewalks)so you get the same people waiting on you each time you come in. And they are competent and savvy just like you'd hope for esp. in NYC. Default place to go and always a safe bet.

You're not a true New Yorker until you've tried this place. The neighborhood is absolutely fabulous, and the food here is to die for! The fusili and smoked chicken is orgasmic!
