7A Cafe

Yeah, this place has gotten pretty lame. Used to be wonderful, but now the food is mediocre, the service is sloppy, and the crowd is often big and obnoxious. I guess they stopped having to try, since people came anyway. Shame.

Just ate there last night. The food & service were very good. Great people watching spot. The price vs. quality is probably unmatched by any pother restaurant I had been to in this city. GO THERE!!!!

I have been a regular for the past 6 years. The food is not as good as it used to be and the staff is not to be desired. i only go now if I know whos working otherwise service is poor and food worse.

I've been going to 7A for many years now. Never ordered a steak before. (I'm vegeterian). Last night I took a friend to 7A. She had the 'ny strip steak' and loved it. According to her, that was the best steak she ever had in ny. (she's a big meat eater) and for the best value. $16.

This was one of my favorite go to places in my neighborhood, but after the last two times I've ordered delivery I no longer have an interest in going back. They raised the minimum delivery, even when most of their dishes don't cost over $10, and they won't budge even if it is 50 cents below the minimum. I asked for a substitution (which they used to do) and didn't find out they wouldn't until my food arrived. It wasn't even as good as it used to be.

This is my favorite breakfast place in all of Manhattan. The location is great - on the corner of a busy street with plenty of windows for people watching. The breakfast and brunch is great! Unique menu prepared very well, and CHEAP! The service is inconsistent and okay at best, but the positives far outweigh the negatives. Unlike other reviewers, I have never had to wait for a table.

Ordered two salads for delivery - had to call back at 50 minutes and finally the food arrived at an hour. The salads were ok - not worth $19 and not for waiting an hour. I will not be ordering from here again.
