I'm a little confused by the folks that order sushi at a place called 5 Napkin Burger...let's stick to what the restaurant has to offer and review the BURGERS. I got whatever their signature burger is and it was delicious and definitely a messy burger to eat. It was cooked perfectly as well. I had no issues with the service and the beer selection is excellent. Go try this place and don't be fooled by the mixed reviews - it's a keeper!

Stopped here for a bite before a Broadway show. The food was just okay, and it was very expensive. The waiter was very nice, but also very slow. Tuna burger was dry and Salmon was overcooked and included unknown side. Stick to the simple stuff at this place like burgers and fries and you should be okay for a quick snack before a show.

I went to 5 Napkin Burger with a co-worker for lunch today. We decided to do take-out because we had read on menupages.com that the service was slow and we didnt want to wait an hour for our burgers. We were greeted by the hostess who told us that we could easily do take-out at the bar. After placing our order (2 burgers w/fries) at 1 p.m. we waited patiently at the bar. During the next 50 minutes, while still waiting for our take-out order, (4) customers came in & sat at the bar, placed their orders and finished their meals. They all ordered burgers, lobster sliders and sushi. I do not understand how all their orders came out and ours did not. We asked politely for the bar tender to check on our order and he told us they were just packing it up. 15 minutes later we got up and asked again. It still wasn't ready. I was pissed off, hungry and ready to walk out. The restaurant was terribly slow. They (bartender & hostess/manager) did not even apologize for taking over an hour to get our take-out order and by the time the food came out everything was soggy. $30 for 2 cold burgers both with soggy buns, fries, fried onions that looked like they were put under a running sink before serving to us!

Sleek restaurant for the area. Went here w/ the hubby tonight. I ordered the original burger and the hubby ordered the cheddar cheeseburger, both medium. They came well done (no pink inside) and very salty fries. That said, the staff promptly replaced the fries with new ones. Although the burgers were well done, they were juicy and FULL of flavor. The original with no aioli sauce was to die for. They tasted so good, it's hard to dwell on that they weren't cooked properly. But shouldn't the kitchen know how to do so? Especially when it's the main menu item? Not sure if I'd go back for $15 burger not cooked correctly.

Ordered the 5 Napkin Burger and was dissapointed. Burger was a good size but, nothing special in the flavor dept. They put this special Aioli sauce on this flagship burger which in my opinion ruines it! This sauce is compleletly flavorless and they put such a large portion on it that the burger is complelty soaked with extra grease. Because of this yes... I did need five napkins but, I don't need my burger covered in additional grease. My girlfriend ordered the veggie burger which appeared more appetizing. They include a small portion of glofified Mcdonalds fries with the burger. What I found most annoying about the meal was that I ordered a Root Beer and they charged me $5 for it, highway robbery! On the positive side we ordered the tropical roll sushi appetizer which was very good but, strange to have before burgers. In conclusion I found this this place way overpriced for the quality and value they provide. Not Recommended.

Had lunch there today, and had the signature burger. Thought the rosemary overpowered everything not very subtle. The burger itself, ordered medium rare, had a uniform, grill-steamed texture, without any crunch on the outside or pink coloring on the inside, or really much taste on its own. The fries were terrific, as others here have mentioned. The waiter was friendly, and service was prompt. But the busboys kept trying to pour tap water into our glasses half full of sparkling water, at one point succeeding in doing so. The main point, though, is that if they bring me in on the basis of the burger, and want to charge $13.75 for it, it needs to be a lot better than this one.
